ay fam quick plot resetting questions

i just adopted merengue from somebody and i'm really not into having her move right in front of my town hall or anywhere else that would be undesirable (bc no joke that has happened every single time i adopt from anyone) so..

- if i do the "make a 2d resident" method (which would be my 3rd character, I've got 2 already) to plot reset her it won't do any harm like delete her or never plot her house or anything like that right?

- does it matter if you already have 2 characters like can you not use this method if this is the case

Nope, it won't delete her at all! She's already been programmed to move into your game, so you should be fine. If she doesn;t appear for any reason, it's probably because of some error with inviting her over / her writing a letter to you telling you that she doesn't want to move anymore.
As long as you have room to make a new character, you are free to use this method. What happens is that, until you load the game up with an existing character (that needs to have the town 'built' for them to reflect changes they made have made the previous day), whatever your game loads is temporary. In this case, as the the new character has not established anything yet, the town will reset every time they load the game up and will be randomized after every attempt
