Awkward Space?

I've got this chunk of space behind the town hall (my one is near the train tracks), and I'm not sure what to do with it! Any ideas?

How much space is there to work with? Large amount? Small amount?

Large: perhaps a 'park' or a few lamp posts?

Small: small flower garden?

How about a bamboo garden with some hybrid flowers between them? Maybe even some mushrooms or gyroids as decoration?

I have a similar space with my Re-Tail. I used it to create a treeline that doubles as an orchard.

I have a similar space behind my town hall and it's part of a zen garden/bamboo path type dealy. I like it because it fills up the space well without looking messy.

Oh that's cool, I got a Zen Clock PWP a few minutes ago, a bunch of those with some bamboo and mushrooms would look cool

I don't have much space behind my town hall considering it's at the top of my town, so I just planted a row of perfect fruits, and maybe you could keep going with the rows and add more in front of that to completely surround the town hall as if it were a forest of perfect fruits. This is probably hard to understand, but here :

Logically, you'd have more space between each tree in order for it to grow and you'd have to plant the flowers once they're actually done growing..but it's just a basic idea. You can be more creative and add a row of bamboo shoots in the middle of the whole thing, but it's your choice
