Why would anyone pay like over 1000TBT for a random piece of art? Can't you just say press "Save Image" or something? lmao

Aah okay, I see from your example it's an auction for an "adoptable", which is a character created by the artist whose design they're now selling. The reason people can't just save it without buying it is because it belongs to the artist until they sell it.

You can save it if u wanna but if u like ever use it publicly then its considered theft which isn't exactly legal

well, i dont quite understand what youre saying. youre paying for the design, as in the actual character, not the art. the character now being yours means that you now have the right to do whatever you want with it. get some art of them by different artists etc

Some people struggle with color schemes and designs ETC.

I buy an adopt for the design, and I don't like it when a backstory and name is laid out for it.

Some people don't have the ideas so they pay instead, or they think that the design is super cute and characters near identical to it are also infringement on the creator or owners ideas
