Are you still happy with...? PART 3: Your native fruit

My native fruit are cherrys and my island name is Cherryton so It worked out in end even though I wasn’t even try to go for a specific fruit lol. I was resetting my island a lot, but it was so that I could get two villagers that I was happy with (who both happen to not be on my island anymore ).

If I got a fruit I didn’t want like pears I probably wouldn’t mind since I could just get fruits from mystery islands and I don’t even plan to have a bunch of trees on my island, they take up too much space when designing

I got pears. I don't necessarily have an issue with pears but the contrast against the tree leaves in early fall, spring and summer kind of suck. I'd like to have oranges, because yarr scurvy.

I made the coconut tree my official fruit for my island.

Because I have all the fruits now (and have had them all since April) (and I’m sure a lot of people on here are the same) it doesn’t really matter what my native fruit is tbh. I have a few more cherry trees as decoration around my island but that’s about it.

I planned to have cherries as my native fruit as a call back to my first village back in the gamecube game. I'm still happy that I chose it. Wish my secondary wasn't oranges though. They were my native fruit in NL so I'm kind of burnt out of seeing them so much.

I honestly didn’t care about what my native fruit was gonna be just like everything else, I just went with what I was given the first go round. I got oranges as my native fruit and I’m quite happy with it. I like oranges in real life and the villagers look super cute drinking orange juice around the island so that’s a plus in my book. I believe cherries are my secondary fruit, regardless I have a orchard of all the fruits on my island. (I actually have two orchards, but planning on getting rid of one some time soon) I don’t shake the oranges trees anymore unless I know I’m gonna go to another island that I can sell for 500 bells. I can’t remember what fruits I’ve had on all the other animal crossing games, I’m almost tempted to break my New Leaf out of storage just to see what it was.

I didn't care what my native fruit was. I could always plant more of the fruit I do like. I also didn't care about the passport. I'm pretty sure I had cherries in NL and WW too.

I restarted my game until I had a deer starter villager (Fuchsia - who was eventually replaced with Deirdre but she was still a great villager!) so I didn't really pay attention to the other factors that change when you reset. I ended up with cherries which are my second favorite fruit in the game right after apples, so I'm pretty happy with what I got! That being said I currently have an equal number of fruit trees of each type on my island, and only really use fruits for crafting and gifts so it doesn't make a difference which is my native fruit. Though cherry blossom season started in the northern hemisphere shortly after I reset my game so it was nice to see a mix of cherry trees and cherry blossom trees.

Originally, I knew nothing about the game, so resetting never occurred to me. I got Genji as a starter and loved him immediately, so I would to have anyway. I did not love the pears as my native fruit at first, because I thought I would have liked peaches. Now my interest in peaches has cooled, and for a while I was really into the orange trees. So, my tastes seem to change a lot, and the pears I think might look really nice in autumn or winter, when they pop more as the leaves change. But ultimately, I decided since I change what fruit I like best every couple months, better to just be happy with what I have, and thank goodness i didn’t spend hours resetting for a fruit I’d change my mind about within 2 months.

oh and lately I like using the title ‘plausible pear’ so that makes me happy too!

APPLESSSS! And no—absolutely not would I ever change it! I love apples (where my Fuji fans at? Ayeee ). I miss having perfect apples though and getting to place a basket of them in my house. Hopefully the perfect fruit will be reintroduced at some point.

I personally don't care what my native fruit is in NH because it doesn't really matter. at least in NL it impacted what kind of perfect fruit you could grow, but in NH it literally doesn't matter lol.

that being said, I have pears as my native fruit and it's always been kind of a tradition for my Animal Crossing town to start with pears or peaches so I'm cool w it.

I got cherries twice; the first time was when I started my first island, but then I made a mistake and had to reset 40 minutes in. Luckily, the second island also came with cherries, so I didn't have to keep resetting.

I can't explain why I prefer cherries so much; I think I just really like their aesthetic, along with how nice the perfect cherries were in NL.

Oranges are my native fruit. I’m happy with it because they are also one of my favorite fruits to eat. I have an orchard with all the fruit, and I have fruit trees around my island as decoration. I don’t shake any of them because I like how trees look with the fruit on them.

I don't really like the way fruit trees look either way. I currently have an orchard for farming fruit to sell for that achievement and I cannot wait to demolish it again.

I wish there were more kinds of trees TBH! It feels strange when all the trees look the same.

I am happy that Oranges are my Native fruits, because because I don't particularly like it.

They are worth the least, so I don't have to have too many of them on my island.

I was thinking about doing that too - going with the fruit I like the least. But knowing I would have it on my passport and see it on Mystery Tours made me change my mind.

But, yah... to sum up- I'm still pretty happy with peaches. But if I could've done native fruit apples with peaches as a sister fruit- that would've been my IDEAL set-up. But the opposite is good enough and I wouldn't change it for any other combo!

Peaches and apples are my favorite too! Resetting is so tedious when you have too many criterias, so it's better when you're open to more than one possibility.

My native fruit is apples. This is one of the few things my S/O and I looked into before we got the game, but we didn't particularly care for whichever fruit we rolled. I'm happy with apples. To me, the native fruit doesn't matter, especially after getting all the fruits from Daisy Mae, Nook Mile islands, and my S/O because I don't often open up and view my passport.

It's nice that you discussed it with your S/O before starting the game! Mine lets me make all the important decisions, but it's nice having someone to talk about the game

Apples are my island's native fruit. When I was first starting the game and was resetting for maps, I was hoping that I would get a good map with an orange airport and either apples or cherries as the fruit. As the resetting process had been taking a few days and I was tired of being particular, the game eventually gave me a map with a good layout, the orange airport I wanted, and the fruit happened to be apples. I stuck with it. I wasn't aware that perfect fruit was no longer a feature though and was kind of disappointed when I found out, since perfect apples looked cool and would've looked even better with New Horizons' graphics.

Hopefully perfect fruits are coming in a later update! I agree with you that perfect apples are amazing.

I specifically reset so I could have native peaches and a blue airport. Peaches have always been my native fruit for my first town since CF.

On Evwirt I had to compromise with pears (and a couple other things) because everything else was cool. Pears are only JUST above oranges so it’s my second least favorite fruit. I’d prefer apples or cherries on Evwirt.

I love that title! It's nice that you've gotten used to your fruit. They will probably look great in winter!

Yes, it's wonderful to fangirl over the game with someone as important as a best friend/partner. Mine also lets me make a lot of decisions, so I gave him first dibs at which villagers he'd like to have as permanents. XD

I have peaches and I enjoy them. I also enjoy having apples as my "sister" fruit because I do love going to fruit islands and seeing that they're all just apple orchards (and of course being able to plant my own apple orchards on my own island)
