Is the Switch 2 too expensive for you? Let me know if you’re not getting it on launch day. I don’t want to feel like I’m the only one, and I don’t want to feel like a loser.

It’ll make me feel better to know that I’m not alone.

I'm broke lol, I won't be getting it on launch, or even for a few years probably. I don't even have the first switch so it's nothing new to me to be behind :^) to be honest I probably wouldn't buy it even if I had the money just based on principle: that's way too much for a console imo

It won't make you a loser. This is a lot of money we are talking about here, the console and the games/controllers. If anything you're smart prioritizing your needs over your wants.

I can’t buy a Switch 2 either. I could save up for it, but I spent all the potential money for a Switch 2 on Bionicles from Bricklink. And there’s still more Bionicles to get.

I would rather get the old Bionicles before it’s too late than buy a Switch 2, which I can get anytime. I may not even buy a Switch 2 until Animal Crossing comes out.

My switch and switch lite are still new so I have no plans to get the new switch. I rather not spend that much money especially when there aren’t any games that I’m interested in. I also want to know how good the internet is on there considering all the issues I have with my connection on the switch 1.

yeah i won’t be buying it because it’s too expensive and i feel like there’s not enough good games to warrant me buying the switch 2 right away. i’ll wait until next year simply because of tomodachi life and hopefully a new animal crossing will be announced by then, other than that i’m not really into nintendo games anymore.

Yeah, I don't have money for that or much of anything. I've been struggling to get a job for quite some time now despite my best efforts, so I don't have money to throw around. I'd love to get Mario Kart World, but even if I could I'd be second guessing with how high the prices are.

I'm not buying a Switch 2 at or around launch. I could, but there's not much reason to. It's expensive for a Nintendo console, so at least I'd want like a Pokémon special edition that will retain its value or even appreciate in it with time.

If that means I'd have to wait for the next Pokémon generation (or remakes) to release, then I guess it will be like that.

If the Switch 2 flops beyond the hardcore fans Nintendo might even do a price cut like they used to do, but I doubt that.

Price wise, the games are the real killer for me though. It has gotten out of hand... With the new prices I'd only be buying the games that I really, really want.

I knew waaaay ahead of time I couldn't afford it. Before we even had any information. I am just simply poor and don't have a job. There are way more important things I need than a video game console (such as healthcare) and I can't afford those either. I don't really know what to do.

Geez, I hope I am not crashing the party. I pre-ordered and will get on day one.

This is the first time in my life that I have been able to do this! I hope you all don't hate me for it! As a child I got all of the systems a year or... years, plural, after they were released! The Atarii 2600, NES, SNES, and so on.. I know what it's like to be late to the game!!

It took me 47 years to finally be first in line! I wish I could help you all get a new system!

I hope you don't judge me for finally getting a system on launch day!

P.S. I have been eating a lot of cost efficient food to pay for this. Not healthy food, just cbeap... Ramen, canned soup, toast (if it's not moldy!) etc... sometimes a glass of water for breakfast. We gotta save money!

I’m saving up to buy one and have a goal to get one around October or November. I mainly want to make sure there’s no situation similar to the XBox 360 Ring of Death fiasco. I don’t want to spend all that money for my brand new console to break down and become unusable because of some software glitch. I plan on keeping my other two Switches as my first one I mainly use for the Nintendo Labo kits that require you to use the screen and the other is a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Special Edition OLED which I’m never giving up because I really like its design.

I have an idea: Switch 2 boycott.

This will be a protest against Nintendo and Doug Bowser. Maybe, just maybe, I can convince people to not buy the Switch 2 at launch. Then, the sales will be low, and Nintendo will feel forced to lower the price. (Basically a repeat of the 3DS.) If the Switch 2 flops at launch, then Nintendo won't make a lot of money. They'll HAVE to lower the price so they can achieve sales.

Is this a good idea? Maybe it could be the next #HoodlessZelda.

Protest Slogan: SAY NO TO NINTENDO!

Let me know if you're on board with this idea.

I won't let Nintendo's greed win. They need to lower the price.

Never saw an idea burn and crash at inception like this. Nintendo has readied 6-7 millions Switch 2 for launch and it's still out of stock on Day 1.

Here’s my plan for getting the Switch 2. I’m going to buy a 1 TB Micro SD Express card, the carrying case and screen protector, GameCube Controller, and system carrying case that holds everything all before I buy the Switch 2 so that I can be prepared. Then when I finally do purchase the console, I’m going to buy the Pro Controller so that I can play games easily on my tv without worrying about the Joy Cons running out of power or motion control as I don’t play games with them that often. After that I’ll purchase the Switch 2 updates for Kirby and any other games that need one in increments. I figured that I will probably save time and money this way.

I bought it on day one, but only with an agreement with my parents. We decided to buy it on my mom's zero-interest credit card, and I'd pay her back over two months. I'm too big of a Mario Kart fan to miss out on the new game. The console is fantastic, but I think it's too expensive, especially the accessories. It feels like Nintendo inflated the price because they became overconfident following the success of the Switch's sales, rather than due to the political situation in the U.S., as they're charging even more in Europe. Making the Switch 2 region locked because they expected people to import the cheaper Japanese console rubs me the wrong way. I hope they reduce it by $50-$100 soon, so more people are willing to try it.

Nope, too expensive for me. I don't think I'll be buying one anyways, at least any time soon. I've been playing my Switch a lot recently so I'll be good with this one for the next couple of years. I'm really looking forward to Tomodachi Life 2 next year but I'm assuming that'll obviously be compatible with all Switch consoles (it better be lol-)

Anyways hope people who managed to snag a Switch 2 today have fun with it at least! I wouldn't feel too bad about not having one, especially if money is tight.
