Are those gold roses i saw a hack??

I don't know if the ones you saw were hacked, but I just got my first two today...no hacking! Put two black roses together and water daily with golden watering can. Simple...also exciting and pretty!

PS Idk why no pink pansies.

I was wondering how to get them! I know in previous games you had to water wilted black roses... but they don't wilt in this game, so.

But, yeah, I can't imagine they'd be a hack, since there is definitely a way to get them. And there aren't pink pansies because... IDK, Nintendo didn't add them. You'd have to ask them.

Now I wanna know do all the flowers come in gold?! Why dont pansies come in pink!?!? That would be so cute

Gold roses are a thing in most games, but like I said, in previous games you had to use a gold watering can on wilted black roses. They've changed how they're made in this game, apparently, but I hadn't seen them mentioned in flower guides either... probably because people were still trying to figure them out.

And, no, not all flowers come in gold. Gold roses have always been very rare and special. And, again, you'd have to ask Nintendo 😅

Gold roses have been a thing since I think Wild World, not a hack at all! You get them by watering black roses with a golden watering can. (Yes in this game you just water them normally since flowers can't wilt in NH.)

Sources say to use a regular can to water the flowers first, and then stand in front of each individual black rose to water with the golden can. That way, a) the golden can doesn't wear down in durability, and b) watering each one gives them the highest chance of reproducing gold or smth idk

I can't answer you on why no pink pansies, but I really want to know why blue cosmos from the GC game never returned. They're such a nice baby blue shade

In this game gold roses come from watering black roses with a golden watering can, which gives the chance of the black roses spawning a gold one.

Only roses can be gold.
Gold roses appeared in WW, CF and NL.

Not sure why they haven't included pink pansies, especially since I'm pretty sure blue/black roses don't really exist in real life, at least naturally. I agree with you that pink pansies would be cool, and with Le Ham with the blue cosmos...and the violets from NL too

I think your question has already been answered, so I’ll just leave this here: I liked the whole “water a withered black rose” method. While I am glad withering is gone entirely, I thought that method was more fun; perhaps most peeps would hate having specific black roses getting gilded on accident, though.
Edit: I looked up if pink pansies and yea, I think those would be amazing. I guess they wanted to make roses the most varied flowers because they are so iconic.

I believe you only need to water black roses with a gold watering can once a week. As long as they've been watered directly from a gold watering can once, they have a chance to produce a gold each time they are watered (by normal can or even rain). When I had friends over to water, they tagged some of my black roses with gold cans, they didn't produce any gold roses the next day, but after a few days of raining, they produced one on their own. They lose their chance at a gold rose after they produce one, you'll have to water it with a gold can again after that.

A small addition here: the watered black roses do not change to gold roses in NH; they spawn a gold rose.

Thank you, this is good to know in case I miss a day or get lazy, but for now I enjoy watering my black roses every day because, you know, something new. ;)
