Quoting limited to 5 levels deepPro
Really?

I was just talking to Gabby and she said the only real difference is a bit more memory and a bigger HDD.
Well...I guess you're right. There's not that much difference. But the Pro can have much higher specs than a MacBook, and only the Pro has a FireWire port (another reason why I got the Pro).
USB > FireWire
Not for capturing video.
... what are you talking about?

Firewire is obsolete like I said in my other post.

Not for capturing video from camcorders. Besides, my camcorder uses a FireWire connection, so I have to use it.

That seems like a really high-end machine... don't bother unless you really need all that power...

Could be worthless to you. Depends what you're doing with it.
This.

If you aren't going to be playing high end games on it, it is completely overkill.
Or if you're gonna use it for video editing. Too bad you can't get Final Cut on Windows. (I have to use Adobe Premiere at school...ugh...)
You can use Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 on Windows though, and that's a pretty damn good video editor.

I'm using this to play TONS of games. Steam ones especially.
List games you'll play.

(out of curiosity, how much is that system? I own a similar system.)

Final Cut's better. And you can always use Bootcamp.
