Are there any rude villagers at all?

In New Leaf, it is so mild compared to GCN version. So no.
Cranky and Snooty villagers aren't that bad in NL at all.

Idk its just kinda funny and it diversifies the personalities of the characters in the game. We have 8 villager personalities and they're all just so plain nice that we might as well just have the same dialogue set for each villager type.

The worlds changed since 2002 though. A lot of people arent amused by harsh words from video game animals anymore. That's why Resetti got nerfed as well.

Resetti in the old AC would straight up make you write lines, and if you you accidentally put an uppercase or misspelled something he would make you rewrite it. That was so annoying.

I haven't had any villagers be rude to me in ACNL so far. I don't even remember villagers being rude to me in ACCF or ACWW either!
I really miss the days of the GameCube AC. I feel like the rude villagers added a bit of variety to the game! To me, the current villager personalities / conversations kinda feel the same. I just hope the new game adds a bit more to the personality types of the villagers.

(also resetti. i got really scared when i was 7 playing acww but now that im older i kinda miss it :') )
