This might seem like a silly question; not sure if it was asked before, but it seems like since I last updated, a lot of my villagers are saying new things. And not just new things appropriate to the seasonal event— I got a longer dialogue from Audie yesterday about visiting a theme park that she has never said before. Is this just a coincidence or are the updates adding more dialogue to the villagers?

Honestly I also wondered this, because Isabelle said something new the other day (although I can't remember what it was now) but I wasn't sure if it was new dialogue or if it was just that I'd never heard her say that thing before. Curious to see if other people had noticed/ were wondering this as well.

I hope so, that would be nice because it would keep me interested. Often I feel like I've heard everything they have to say, if they sprinkle in new things I'll be more likely to pay attention.
Totally agree, I feel like my one big complaint with this game was how short / empty all of the dialogue felt. But some of the newer things seem to be longer and it seems like a great opportunity for Nintendo to sprinkle in new things and keep people interested.

yeah i've noticed some new dialog. or at least dialog that i've just never seen but has always been there. pretty happy ab it tbh
Well, yes.. there has been new dialogue to correspond to an update, both villagers and NPCs such as Isabelle, etc.
Although, I've noticed Isabelle during morning announcement has some fairly uncommon dialogue if you load the game up at very certain hours.

I already have socked her, egged RS, broken her computer and whacked her with a baseball bat but still her only joke is ab her lost sock or fav tv show

I honestly don't remember. I know one of them was super early in the morning, like 3-5AM. Haven't seen any others since, so it may just be random.
But I know I've gotten something other than her normal TV show, or sock, etc.
I play late all the time, she basically yawns and says that it's late but that she can make it through this. After that she goes right back to telling you the daily news like how that sock is doing.
I did get some new dialogue from villagers lately, but I believe that that would be mostly because you unlock more dialogue with a villager as your friendship level with it improves. Not entirely sure nothing was added, though.
I wish she'd tell us more about that sock than just it getting lost behind the dryer. We need more sock lore. 
But yes, new little additions to the dialogue have been added, new stuff been found in recent datamines that suggest more villager interactivity. It's not going to be completely improved overnight, but they are adding some new stuff to do with villagers.

I think it would be hilarious if the developers slipped a "I found my missing sock! It was under _______" to the list of Isabelle talking points in a few months.
Ha! The missing sock seems to be the most memorable thing of Isabelle's dialogue. She should stop goofing around, i never see her wearing socks and i doubt she owns some in the first place.
