are fishing tourney points cumulative like the bug tourney are?

I want to get the silver trophy this time and am wondering if I'll have to get an additional 100 points (added to previous tourney for a total of 200), or if I'll have to start over at 0.

Good. Bug Off was easy, which I don't mind. Sort of time consuming, but catching bugs is far easier and less tedious than catching fish. I gave up on the Fishing Tourney that one time, whenever that was.

There is no bait for bugs, though. I found a spot on my shore where I release bait, cast, and catch, without moving at all. I did enjoy the bug tourney, but to me, the fishing tournament was easier.

The fish are unpredictable, though. For the bugs I just had flowers bunched in different spots where it was easily accessible. Making bait is a tedious process. That's why I got lazy and gave up with it.

I started making bait after the last fishing tourney, but stopped after awhile. So tedious! I need about 10-15 more, so I'll probably try to do that before Saturday.
