Are cataloging islands still a thing?

I would suggest trying the airport thread to see if people have it open to visit and catalogue. Or I sometimes check out this website:

Use the cataloging tab there are people opening their island for others to come catalogue

I don’t see them as often anymore. My discord friends used to do cataloging parties but we’ve all built up our catalogs quite a bit. I’m assuming that’s the reason why there aren’t as many.

but theres one streamer i always watch, but she only has her catalog island open when she streams.

there are certain rules you have to follow (obviously) ! she updates it semi-frequently as well

I am watching this thread too! Would be really interested in cataloging stuff like the simple panels, coffee mugs, camping cots, etc. Right now my whole island is covered in DIY recipes so if you need those send me a message.

There are some cataloging islands called the lost island iirc. You can easily find them by google. They're free and the islands are divided in furniture and multiple clothing islands. You generally can only book 1 hour per trip, so with clothing it may take up to 6 trips to get all the items.

There are like 2 discord channels I know are still active but where you have to pay 400NMT to be able to catalog either clothing or furniture.

I once found 1 discord where you could catalog furniture for free where there always was 1 island open and you could just fly in whenever you wanted, but that was not as good since it wasn't heavily moderated and some things were missing.

there is a fb group called acnh 25+ they do some cataloging island too.
But I wish there was more....I would do one if I had a complete catalog lol

If you only need a few things, i would recommend to try posting in Nooks Cranny, you may be able to catalog them for free/nominal TBT fee

I think I went to an island last year that was doing a Catlog party. At first I didn't know what "Catalog" was but after explanation from the owner of the island I now understand. They had so many items on their island and I remember just picking stuff up and dropping them.

If you really want to find Catalog Parties I think Nookazon has a thing called "Touch Trade" where you can go to their island and catalog it as long as you drop it. Of course they would want something in return so there's that.

I used to run a catalog shop myself in this forum before.

My advice is to look for shop threads here that allows you to order any furniture using forum currency.

That was so much fun for me in the early days of this game. Pay a few bells or NMT, go to an island and just fill up your catalog. I was also happy I had put in a bunch of time creating Tarantula Islands, storing them up to sell to Flick and making millions of bells before they nerfed them.

I bet it would be pretty rough to build up your catalog and be able to afford a lot of it if you were starting the game now.
