Are any on the peninsulas big enough for a house?

I'd love to put my house on the little peninsula on my island but I'm not sure if it will fit and i've not unlocked the ability to move my house yet.

I can dig a plot that is 5x3 with one square of space on every side, which makes me think it should fit. Or is the grid bigger than that?

Oh that's great! Do you happen to have a picture of your island? I want to see if my peninsula is the same size, I know some are really small compared to others. Don't worry if not!

5x4 is what you need to be able to fit it completely, as there needs to be space for the entrance.

I figured it was the best place to put it out the way I’d rather go without the campsite honestly

I moved one of my villagers there when I was arranging houses, so it should be possible!

Oh good. I thought I was safe when I got through the dock debacle unscathed, but now it looks like I'm falling victim to peninsula envy. Mine is just big enough to hold the lighthouse.
