The first trailer was made back in 2004.
Game was released 2-3 years afterwards. Maybe even longer I can't remember.

Well us Zelda fans were waiting for this game for years after they made that trailer only to be disapointed. There were so many delay's and the game just wasn't worth all the waiting.
