I made a similar thread for the original animal crossing game but thought I'd shoot my shot at garnering a few players for a new leaf file too. I wouldn't even mind not being the mayor as long as you promise to remain active !! We would play via a 3ds emulator and either manually send each other the files once we finish playing each time, or we could use syncthing to automatically sync our save files. Syncthing only syncs folders you have selected, so don't worry about it sending me all your computer's files haha. Another thing to note is we would just have to make sure not to play at the same time, because whoever finished after the other would erase the other person's progress.
