just the thought of something being there forever is kinda creepy.

have heard of that as an idea for a tattoo, but eh.. i dunno. it would be the only thing i could think of to get that wouldn't be awful to me in x amount of years

The laser removal actually doesn't hurt at all and won't leave a scar. But I can respect that some people don't like/want them.

Needle actually doesn't hurt depending on where you get it. Mine is on my spine and hurt like hell, but the area around actually didn't hurt at all.

And the laser removal is oh.. 150 per session now days? 3-5 sessions? Considering tattoos cost 150-1000+ its an alright price.
