Anyone have a clue on the shipping firmware?

I'm thinking of replacing my old original 3ds with a 2ds. Anyone know what firmware they begin with?

Well, the earliest release for an American 2DS is on October 2013, and the latest update at that time occurred on the month before launch. That means 6.3.0-12U will be the earliest possible firmware to be installed. You'll most likely need to update it whenever you get the hardware.

if you're looking for a certain firmware you could always buy a 2DS/3DS on ebay and ask the seller what firmware the system is
