Pokémon Anyone experiencing this with obtaining Diancie?

Thank you both. Thank goodness I already have a Japanese Diancie, so much text if I didn't **;

Also I checked my Japanese Diancie, it has 3IVs... perhaps it is the server, IDK.

There's so many speculations.. some people blamed the update but others still had 'bad' ones after the update. Some people blame the codes themselves but mine was the "bad" code starting with AZA4 and mine was fine.
Servers would be a weird one though, if some people are getting one good Diancie and one bad Diancie from the same location.. you'd assume they'd be using the same server both times? Odd.

You specify Japanese like it was traded to you. How'd you come by it, if you don't mind my asking? o:

I bought it off here on TBT, when Diancie was first released in Japan due to the movie. That's why I keep calling it Japanese lol.

I completely forgot it had a previous release event. As far as I understood it, you can't trade the current Diancie over wifi because of her event ribbon, which is why I was so confused, lol.
And I'm not even sure how accurate that is, since I haven't had any need to try to trade for one.

From my understanding, it can't be used in online battles? I dunno if that was intentional or if it's been fixed, but I've heard a lot of people complaining about getting disconnected after choosing Diancie for their team.

I certainly hope everyone that wanted a Diancie got theirs from the event that ended.. 2 days ago here in NA. Dunno about the other countries. I think Europe is a week or two behind us on these events because their ORAS release date is a week later than ours.

I think you can trade them through exchanging friend codes. It would be pretty sad if Gamefreak had not fixed that by now. I also think it can be used online since I see videos with really bad hacks being used (permanent megas).

That is only GTS and Wonder Trade. If you're trading with a friend online or locally its fine.
Although, why do I keep seeing so many Diancies in GTS... hacks? Well I know some of them are...

About online battling, I haven't had any problems using her with friends. That's the only time I have used her in online battling though. I don't use her much for that. It was only to try her out....however that was a few months ago when she was recently released in Japan.

I kind of figured Diancie could be traded via friends since all my other event legendaries came into my possession that way, but I hadn't yet tested it out with her so I wasn't sure. Thank you c:

Certainly makes me doubt all of the legendaries I got through GTS, even those that weren't event-only, but ya know, I just wanted the dex entry anyway, haha.

That's strange... I reseted for nature and good IVs and mine had at least 3 perfect every time. I'm in Australia if that makes any difference.

Yep, 3IV is the norm. What my brother experienced is a glitch.

Well, that makes me feel better because I am in the same region as you lol.

I dunno if the region makes any difference, since some people had consistent 3+ IVs on one game and then a completely random Diancie on their other game cart. I'd assume they tried downloading both on the same day from the same location, but who knows at this rate, lol.

I think that's why a lot of people thought that some codes themselves were bad.. specifically the ones starting with AZA4, but mine started with that and it was fine.. although I traded my second card on here, and the person that took it PM'd me to say they were getting a bunch of crap Diancies, not a SINGLE ONE had 3 perfect IVs, (and I am so so sorry if it was the code ;- so maybe I just got lucky?

Bah. Too many variables!

I'll report in; mine was consistently 3+ and I'm in the southeast region of the US. :v

I just got my code today. I got a Jolly Diancie with 5IV....what?!
IDK if I should keep it or soft reset. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Soft resetting, I want Sp Atk.

EDIT 2: Went with a Hasty with 3IVs.
