It’s been five and a half weeks since I’ve seen CJ. But I still get Kicks selling Ross-level backpacks twice a week and Label giving me a vampire costume as inspiration for a “goth look” multiple times. So I think I angered the game in some way.

I've seen Label twice... I don't know why she doesn't want to come but of all NPCs she's the one I least care about. The CJ drought is real, I think I've seen him 3 times minus the fishing tourney. I know it's randomly generated but :/ why game why

That is some awful RNG you've got there. 5 1/2 weeks without seeing CJ is crazy, though I haven't seen him in a while either. I have no idea if you can fix this but that sounds like way too long??
It’s crazy. I never even got Flick until about a month into playing either and I only saw him one other time since. But I sure do have a lot of rugs from Saharah being here a dozen times!

I swear there's something wrong with all of our CJs... I've had 3 tunas sitting on my beach since the end of April and they've been long been out of season. I just want a fish model!

I keep a journal and one of the things I track is NPC visits. I managed to get CJ last week, but it had actually been over a month (excluding the fishing tournament) since I got him prior to that.
It's been nearly a month since I got Celeste. Flick is erratic like CJ, but does show up a bit more. I know it's all random, but I do wonder if some of these NPCs are actually weighted. Meaning that they have a higher probability of showing up than some of the others. Saharah and Gulliver come about once a week for me, almost like clockwork.

There are some days where I get nobody and that kinda sucks but then sometimes they all show up at once, it's kinda strange that way.
The first day after the Redd update, I had FOUR visiting characters in one day! Maybe the game was overcompensating for the heartache yet to come...

I would be surprised about that if there are weighted visitors. I've gotten Celeste almost 10 times since release and Wisp close to 10 as well. Saharah and Gulliver is common. But CJ and Label for me is impossible to find. If NPCs visit each island at different rates, that would be very interesting

Holy 4 at once! That's also pretty insane, yeah maybe like you said the game was definitely overcompensating.... still though, npc droughts kinda suck even if you get a ton of them at once.

I feel like I almost never get Gulliver. I think I've seen him like 3 or 4 times? But it could be that the stuff he gives me aren't the nice ones so I forget about it ;__;

Who is CJ? I dont know him.
But really, I only saw him on the fishing tourney. Well, I saw him was when I was TTing someone out, so the npcs rerolled and he appeared, but since it wasn't "natural" I don't count that. I have seem Label and Sahara the most.
