Anyone else not fond of terraforming their island?

Soo... I had to reset once again... I really didn't like terraforming my island... It just didn't feel natural to me anymore and taking everything out and trying to create rivers and cliffs just really began to bother me soooo much... So just curious, does anyone else not like terraforming their island? Did anyone else keep their island natural and didn't change a thing?

Also, don't worry about me. I'll start my new island tomorrow and will be keeping it natural and not changing anything. I think I know better now... 😔

I hardly ever terraform my island. It looks too unnatural for me. I only do it if I have too.

I haven’t done much terraforming, just a few waterfalls. Some islands look amazing though.

It actually may be more common than you think! I did terraform a little, I kept the basic mountain/tiers of my island. I just don’t really know how to naturally make hills and waterfalls come out of nowhere lol

I did a fair amount of terraforming, while keeping the general shape of my island. I made changes just to make my vision work a little more, but it looks relatively similar to original map.

I have only done terraforming at my front entrance with this massive water display. Other than that I have left my island how it was naturally which is mountains at the very back of my island

I may or may not have over-terraformed my island. 😬

I like it about 70% of the time. I don't feel like resetting because I've already done it once and terraforming I can fix even if it'll be tedious to do so.

I am terrible at terraforming myself. I’ve done minimal terraforming and a little extra like making a wall to make it look like my museum was part of some ruins, and adjusted the rivers so my bridges fit.

I’ve added a few waterfalls in my cliffs and two small raised areas near my rivers. Also added a cliff onto my peninsula for a lighthouse. Oh and a waterfall area behind my Nook’s Cranny that is a feature with a few star fragments around it. That’s it. I like some terraforming but not a massive fan where it is over used personally.

The most I did was remove all the rivers and made them into straight lines and destroyed all tier 2 cliffs and had only tier 1 cliffs.

I loved to terraform early on but lately I've been dreading having to open up the island designer. At some point it feels like you have enough design elements and the rest is just overkill. I've definitely not been terraforming at all for the last three or four weeks now. I'd hate to ruin what I've already got!

Sometimes I have to admit I kind of miss my natural island. I really wish I had a second island just to keep wild!

I haven't done any terraforming except to straighten some cliffs in order to place inclines where I want them. I'm not planning on doing much else, although I've been considering adding a small waterfall to one area and turning another patch of land into a mini island (since it's already surrounded by the river on three sides) but I'm not sure yet if I'll go through with either. I like the natural look I currently have, although if I had another island I'd probably go wild with the terraforming on there and try a bunch of designs.

i’ve stayed pretty true to what i had when i started my island. i didn’t want to completely start over so i’ve enjoyed terraforming.

it’s really tedious to start from scratch IMO. major props to the people who are able to create wonderfully intricate cliffs and waterfalls... that’s galaxy brains right there

I haven't done anything too major, my cliffs and rivers are prettty much the same, and I like the natural feel... but I kind of wish I had planned it a little better to be able to have a double waterfall. Right now it'd be difficult without tearing a lot apart.

I've done very little terraforming. I wanted to keep my starting river, I consider it my island's fingerprint and didn't want to just erase it to create something else. I did add a few additional bodies of water, but no drastic changes. I like how spacious my island is, and how each landmark you come across is a discovery and not just wall after wall cliffs and waterfalls. The look does work with a lot of island's I've seen, but it's just not the look I'm going for.

I didn't do much. I added a few waterfalls and evened up some cliff walks so I could snug houses up to them. That's pretty much it.

I like it. I would just prefer it wasn't tedious to do. I've been at a standstill with my island.
