Anyone else miss the bi-daily mail?

In all other Animal Crossing games before New Horizons the mail would arrive in one's mailbox at 9 AM then again at 5 PM. I sometimes find myself wishing it still worked that way. New Horizons is the first Animal Crossing game that has the mail arrive only once a day (at 5 AM). I do think they could still limit us to five items, but this time... per mailing cycle. (5 items prior to 9 AM, then after that mail arrives you can order another 5 items.) Anyone else wish the in-game mail system still operated like it did in previous Animal Crossing games?

I liked it better when we had a post office, and we could also order more than five items a day.

No. I play the game prior to 5 AM, and I have ordered items at like 7 AM before from the catalog... never got mail at 9 AM or anytime after that unless it was mail from another player.

Yeah I don't like it. I'm super used to having mail come at 5pm it was so helpful.

yes. mail coming at 5pm was so helpful especially if you needed something the same day. don’t know why they changed. it’s not about me being impatient, sometimes you need items the same day. i remember doing this for birthday gifts if i wasn’t able to prepare.

In Wild World, if you opened your town gates, it would force any pending mail to be delivered immediately. It was a once per day trick, and I could never figure out of it was a bug or a feature.

I hope an update will reintroduce Pete and the twice per day mail deliveries from New Leaf.

Definitely yes. Especially when I'm doing trades and don't have items on hand, it was so useful in NL to tell the other person to wait until 5 PM my time (or I'd TT to 5 PM if needed).

Oh yeah, I wish we could receive mail twice a day like how it was in New Leaf. I mean, as much I'm fine with time travelling in general, I would prefer receiving my Nook stop orders (for example) on the same day because I rarely TT on my main island so I welcome that kind of convenience. Why is it that we could mail stuff from the catalog to friends but not the Nook stop items (until you receive them)? Ugh haha.

imagine if pete was reintroduced in future updates as an NPC that delivers the old series from previous games that everyone been asking for lol
with the way nintendo moves i doubt he’ll be reintroduced just for 5pm deliveries
