Its the only game that really interests me at the moment. Can't wait to use a 2 by 4 again :)

Not at all.

The Last Of Us had a decent clear cut story as it was, and when it was done it was done. It doesn't need a follow-up game.

Very true, I hope Neil Druckmann doesn't make it seem heavily SJW though. The last 2 Uncharted games suffered because of it.

They could make the plot very interesting though, if Ellie's mum is back, then that's gonna steer up a lot of drama. Although I thought it would be cooler if they did a small game about Joel's past story with Tess and Bill like a prequel to the first game.

How is it SJW... is it because women exist lmao

No, no. It's just that Nadine in uncharted 4 was like invincible and I thought she was a poorly written character. I have high hopes though. I loved the last of us (Played through the story like 6 times) :)

I mean what does it matter if they're telling the story they want to tell?

Anyways, I'm kind of excited for TLOU2 but I'm not terribly interested in learning more of it at the moment. Kinda wish we didn't get another glimpse of it just yet, I'd rather radio silence until PSX 2018.

True, it doesn't matter I just hope they don't make the story seem forced or out of place with some elements. I'm not that hyped for the new trailer to be honest. They didn't really show anything new. I mean they've got clickers at the end. But I've seen a ton of them in the first game.

It would of been really cool if they showed a new type of enemy.

I would rather not.

I didn't think the gameplay in the Last of Us was fantastic anyway, it just did its job, nothing more and nothing less. I had no expectations here anyway since it soared way below what I expect from that type of game (stealth, survival, whatever mechanic it decided it was doing at the time, it was utter basics all around). If it does more than being 'gimped Uncharted' then it's a step up.

Story though, it's one of those times where I think it really didn't need a sequel not because it was bad, but because it felt complete as it was. The narrative in the first game was the only thing that kept me playing from start to finish and I really doubt that I'll come away from the sequel thinking "wow, that really added to the first game! I really needed to see that!". If anything, they'll probably just end up undermining the first game and making the open ending from it totally irrelevant.
The DLC already felt like they were trying to cram unnecessary crap into something that was already fine, so I'm more than sceptical on how a full on sequel is going to play out on something I thought was fine as a single release.

I would like to be wrong but, eh...Not everything needs a sequel, and sadly the only time devs/pubs seem to know when to say "we've done what we needed to do" with a game is when that game sells like crap.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about it. I got a weird feeling from Ellie when I saw her in the first trailer. I don't know how to explain it well enough.
