anyone else having problems with getting shells?

The past week or so I'll wake up and have ZERO shells on my beach. literally just the bottle, and star fragments if I wished the night before. I'm maybe getting 5-10 shells a day, and that's with me religiously combing my beach multiple times a day. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know why it's happening.

first time seeing someone encounter this problem...wow that rly sucks, im sorry you're dealing with this! :/ i feel like i get an abundance of them everyday. i wonder why it's happening to you.. hopefully it's just a temporary glitch and it'll fix itself soon.

Wow, no, that's kind of bonkers! I sometimes don't get the specific *type* of shells I want but I've never had it where it's that few. I guess... I'd probably yeet to a mystery island or 2 if you can? or hit some people up in the trading/buying/etc forums to get some? Which is annoying but I mean after a point what else are you gonna do? That sucks though!! I never have enough summer shells but man I can probably hit you up with a reasonable number of other ones if you need lol, like. I just cannot imagine.

Had the same problem for a few days, incidentally it only started this month. Playing for a bit usually makes them respawn pretty fast though, it's only the first wave right after I start the game.

what is causing this for some people? are your beaches full? i don't think that should hinder it anyway because you can't put qr's on all those areas.

I have a town of furniture on my beaches, but that was there before summer, and I think you can't put it on the shell spawning points anyway.

That happened to me a few weeks back. It lasted a couple of days, then went back to the normal respawn rate. I'm not sure what the cause was, but it should sort itself out. It does bite, though, especially if you're trying to get shells for crafting or to sell for mile tasks.

I had a few sparse days, but I think visiting somebody online caused them to refresh? There were basically none when I left and a ton when I got back. I was actually looking for regular shells, which was extra frustrating.
The summer shells will be around for awhile. I'm sitting on a stack and would be happy to share, if there's something you really can't wait to make.

Sometimes I get none, sometime 1, sometimes 5 or 6. It's just RNG really. I wouldn't worry about it you have 3 months to collect as many summer shells as possible and only 8 recipes that require it! I think I must have at least 30 already if not more, since I play every day

Actually...maybe I got everything already. Are there only three floors, two wallpapers, a wand, a wreath, and a bag? I just assumed there was more. Maybe I'm already finished with this stuff. Hmmm...

There's not a lot for the summer recipes. The shell furniture diys is available all year round. It would be a bit redundant to have two Shell furniture sets.

I only get roughly 10 shells everyday so it isn't too bad but it definitely can be frustrating when I need a lot.

I’ve only gotten a handful of shells as well and I haven’t gotten any shell recipes. I feel like something funky is going on, this is way worse than trying to get cherry blossom recipes.
