Anyone else having a meteor shower tonight?

I've been doing a lot of TTing for orders, and no matter how far ahead I've been jumping, I'm guaranteed a shower on 4/20, despite other things like nook shop items changing/resetting

Is anyone else getting this? Celeste was giving away taurus bathtub recipes so most folks who visited, so I was wondering if it had to do with the zodiac changing over?

4/20 for me too today, Punchy said something about shooting stars but it might have just been flavor dialogue and not an indication that we'll have them tonight. It's also been cloudy and rainy this morning so I'm not holding my breath!

No announcement has been made in any way, so I don't know. When I get meteor showers, they last 1-2 minutes, and I end up missing most of them because I am talking to an NPC or have my attention set on other things, like water scaping.

They actually will last from 7pm-4am that evening, with the stars coming in bursts! It just varies how many you see. I was hosting a shower yesterday and for about an hour, we had almost constant stars, had about 2 hours of very scarce stars, and then back to a full shower on and off for the rest of the night

I believe that it could be generated per island to have fixed dates. From TTing ahead, I had one at some time in July then again when I went by the specific date again. So far, I haven't found any day with shooting stars from the regular flow of time, but others have that's why I think it is probably generated with the island.

Not sure! Nobody talked about it yet on my island but it's still pretty early morning for me.
