no time traveling yet!! i’ve been tempted to bc i want the other bug off achievements that i’ve missed... but i’ve honestly just been too busy/too lazy to time travel back and whatever. whenever i log on nowadays i’m just like,, kinda wanna chill and fish or smth

I didn't plan to time travel and still haven't. I have no temptation to time travel, I don't mind waiting for stuff to be demolished or people to move out. The day-by-day aspect of the game is what makes it special in my opinion!

Right now, I have enough to do every day (especially on weekdays) to play the game as is. I'm planning on playing a full year in-game until I've caught and donated all the bugs, fish, and sea creatures available in a year (so no time-traveling for me until June 2021). Thereafter, I will gladly time-travel to farm Redd to finish the art section in the museum, assuming I wasn't able to finish it "naturally." Between getting art from my island and my S/O's, I am really hoping the art spawn RNG doesn't screw with me. Two can play at this game, Redd...

Based on the recent experience of trying to move in a campsite villager for three hours, I think it's safe to say that I detest constantly resetting the game and, hence, will never time-travel. 😂 My head hurts again just at the thought...

I didn’t want to time travel in the beginning and I wanted to experience NH in the intended way at first. I was never against TTing so I don’t mind others who sprinted through the tutorial to unlock everything but I wanted that part to be natural.

I made the mistake of not putting my villagers houses at the beach from the beginning so when I started terraforming I had to move most of them and that’s when I started TTing. I had already unlocked everything and didn’t mind the NM achievements getting wonky. But I stay within the month/season and try not to TT too far ahead

I had no intentions of time traveling in this game and still feel the same way. I played around with time traveling in New Leaf and learned it was just a quicker way of getting bored. I'm much happier enjoying things day by day.

i dont mind time traveling a few hours forward or backward, but i had time traveled multiple weeks in one day and it just made me feel a bit cheap. i think its bc i knew there was a nook miles achievement for days played and time traveling messed it up and i just felt kinda wrong for that. maybe one day if i stick with a save long enough to get that achievement "legitimately" i'll be more open to time traveling a day or so for construction, but im content to just follow the natural progression of seasons. maybe when im making the Ultimate Dream Code of my island i'll tt to a good date but thats a whole ways off lol

I said I wouldn't, but I finally did for these reasons:

- I accidentally placed a house in the wrong spot when my finger slipped and so I went back half an hour to undo the mistake.

Realized too late that my error couldn't be undone and I spoiled my turnips in the process. I swore I wouldn't do it again.

- I went back to work and lost almost all my morning hours which caused me to miss morning bugs and fish. I also missed a Fish Off and a Bug Off.

I haven't time traveled to catch things yet, but I did time travel to give me more time to do the last Bug Off.

- I was exhausted from work and couldn't find a suitable Snooty during my Island Hopping that night.

I was 60+ tickets in and had run into Broffina twice, Baarbara once (should have taken her, would have saved so many tickets), Naomi three times, and Queenie (who had just left) before I ran into Whitney the next day when I time traveled.

I haven't time-traveled since I reset my town months ago. Then I only time-traveled to have my start dates lined up with the correct day that I got the game. Once I caught up to the present day, I've been in normal time ever since. I feel no need to time travel. I do feel like I need to start trading more to get more color variations of furniture.

I haven't time travelled so far and don't plan on doing so in the future. It's fine if others want to time travel, but for me it just ends up breaking my immersion.

I’ve always done light time traveling. To earlier in the day. Otherwise I would always be playing at night when everything is closed!

But I’ve stopped myself from doing heavy TT like cycling for villagers etc. I’m not opposed to it and will probably end up doing it soon. We’re going into winter months soon which can become boring a bit.

I have never time traveled, and I'm glad I conveniently remembered when the Bug-offs and fishing tourneys were and have been able to catch everything before it goes out of season. The only seasonal things I missed were the Leo sculpture recipe and two of the firework boppers, and I honestly don't mind that much.

The one reason I would ever consider TTing is to give my RL friend my Savannah, because she loves Savannah and while I think she's very pretty and unique, I'm not too attached to her. I don't think I would TT for anyone or anything else.

I time travelled a lot back in wild world and city folk so I planned on not traveling in new horizons, but I kind of knew that I would eventually. I have time traveled a lot (up to a little over a year forward I believe), and always to cycle villagers, buy multiple items from nook shopping, move buildings, etc. It personally hasn't made the game any less fun for me, and since completing my island roster I've mostly tried to stay within the same season or even month while time traveling so it hardly feels like I'm time traveling at all.

I time traveled through the tutorial part of my new island and to cycle out some villagers I didn't want. I kinda just time travel whenever I feel like. If I feel like I've done all I can for a day or want to play more, I'll go forward a day. I don't really go outside of the current month though. I'm 100% happy with my villagers right now, so I'll probably hold off on time traveling a ton for a bit.

I made a post like this in April or something asking TBTF members if they had kept their personal promises of not TTing in NH, and most of you guys did. Now in August I'm asking you guys again.

Has anyone TT'd in NH when you originally vowed not to TT?

Personally my goal was to not time travel for at least 3-5 months after getting the game in March. I almost met my goal, but ultimately had to time travel a handful of times to get rid of villagers. Now in July/August, I recently decided to redo most of my island and TT'd a lot to demolish and rebuild stairs/bridges faster. Now that that's done, I am bored (lol) and thinking about TT'ing to autumn (and maybe winter) to collect the remaining DIYs I don't have. Part of me doesn't care anymore about not TT'ing since I know what all the items I am missing are, but part of me wants to wait and not TT. What about y'all?

Also I am not hating on or judging anyone who chooses to TT or not TT. Its your own game so do what you want!! :)

I do tt sometime when I play during the night, then I tt to day time. So I could see better.

That's the exact reason I ended up doing some light time traveling within the same day.

When I started the game, I was furloughed from work and had the opportunity to play at various times of the day and it was a super fun and immersive experience.

Once I went back to work, though, I lost all those morning and afternoon hours and by the time I picked up the game again, I was tired and couldn't really focus.

Even worse, I sometimes work weekends as well and that's what led me to missing multiple events and that's what made me eventually cave in.

Ultimately, my character isn't me.

They don't have an outside job that keeps them away from their island duties 4-5 days per week and all in the morning and afternoon hours. They also don't get migraines from having to squint in the dark while trying to garden, either.

When I answered the other day, I voted “I planned not to, but I’m now thinking about it.”

My original plan was that I will not time travel until after experiencing all holidays, including my birthday, naturally. However I decided that I will allow myself to time travel when mushrooms come out so I can gather extras, if I want to! I know that I am going to want plenty to decorate with, but I’m also going to want to build a lot of mushroom furniture too. This will make it more fun for me, so if I want to it’s okay!

I may also be lenient with myself and allow a little but of TT’ing when I begin to really move things around, because I have been getting overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I feel I need to do, and haven’t been productive because of it. Taking away a little bit of that stress and waiting might make me a little more motivated :) But I haven’t really decided on that yet. I may still make myself wait a full year before I’m allowed to do that.

I tried to honour it at the game's release...but then Redd happened and so...now I farm Redd and Gulliver to death by TT'ing like an AC heathen. I don't even regret it because my museum's art gallery is nearly finished and not barebones like people who honour the "spirit of the game". Not mocking them, everyone does their own thing. Thats the true spirit of AC. I'm just saying that I want to complete my art gallery this century so TT'ing will accomplish that.
