No, Nintendo said there will be no more updates that add content to the game after the v2.0 Direct. The only time they're updating it now is when they end up fixing any bugs.

They are done with this game. There are no more updates. They stated that after the Direct, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to say but since November 2021 when the 2.0 update came out they clearly said in their own statement that they have "no plans" to do any "major" content updates to the game and they said that the Happy Home Paradise DLC was the "only" DLC that they will ever do for the game. So the answer is no they are done with it.

No more updates, not even quality of life updates either. Just bug fixes and that's all we're getting.

It's likely they're working on Animal Crossing 6 for the next console title as we speak.

That's disappointing; New Horizons hasn't even lasted half as long as Smash Ultimate has (as a comparison), and yet they're done with it?

Edit: Then again, Smash is more popular than AC, and no one at Nintendo is as passionate and hard-working as Sakurai is.
