Anybody still play WW?

Hello! I'm new here, but was just curious of anyone here still plays Wild World? For those who don't know me, I've been playing Animal Crossinf since 2008, and haven't stopped loving it since! I've since lost my old copy of WW, dunno where it is now BUT I do have another cartridge, and so I've started a new town and have been playing that. Still miss my old town though *sigh* Anyways! Just curious if anyone else still plays?

I just restarted my Wild World town today, funnily enough. I play on a very vintage and unmodded DS Lite though, so I wouldn't be able to play online and trade fruits and items.

you totally still can! thru wiimmfi. You need a password free wifi so ur ds can connect. AKA an android hotspot, iphone forces a password.

On my 3ds with wild world it takes the form of an old DS and uses the cartridge to connect to wifi and uses the ds wfc all the same.

Theres just some dns numbers u need to change to connect to wiimmfi server, ull be given a new FC, so if ur old friends are on there still they likely will be erased, though you wouldnt be able to connect to them anymore anyhow

ive been on hiatus. I wish I had some close friends to play with honestly, its cool to hang out with others too its that Im drawn away to other things after a while. I also got all golden tools and stuff. While I can find other things I want, idk Ive put it down for now. Theres nothing like a ds AC. If u want I could boot it up tho especially if u want some stuff from my town that could interest u.

there might be some info in recent WW history here, I remember talking about it some months ago idk how directional it is. Once I went to a grocery store with my town open and ppl in it

Wow, I never knew you could still connect! This is the first time I'm hearing of wiimmfi! Is it a challenge to get set up? I'm relatively new to modding, so I've yet to explore everything CFW has to offer. I have a modded 3ds XL and a modded DSI. If I could figure it out, it would be nice to play together eventually since I've yet to get Nookingtons (can you get Nookingtons through Wiimfi). Yeah it's such a shame when you lose an old save that's been with you for years. I had the same copy for over 10 years and it still held up, then I had to go and lose it

Also, I'm glad to see some people still play! Thought NH was the new craze and left WW in the dust.

you have to do is change your dns address, pretty sure thats it, you need an android hotspot, or simply a passwordless wifi so the old wifi security tech can connect from ds, the solution is get rid of it all together. Let me check my ds and see what I have brb

personally i’m hoping we’ll get a new leaf resurgence once pretendo supports it. i’d love to get people excited about it on here

turn off "Auto-Obtain DNS. Set the Primary DNS to 167.235.229.36, and the Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1

I found these settings on reddit, Im actually having difficulty connecting and im trouble shooting right now, I think its safe to assume these are the right numbers

All it does is change your Internet connection setting for regular DS games. I tried it btw on mkds and it works, I was playing with ppl.

The only side effect might be your old 15 year old friends list, if you have it, might get reset.

I'd love to see nl get revived too, there's so many ppl who love it, itl happen soon

technically, all you need is wifi with no password. If you can manage that youre in. Also acww wfc is the best
