I find that it'll be much easier for you to earn it than to just ask for it, you can try selling villagers who move from your town, or maybe selling rare funiture on the forums, good luck!

Just keep going to the island after 7. I've been doing it for a month now and managed to nearly upgrade my home completely. Only have the basement expansions and one back room expansion left

Agree with the above! The island at night is full of high bell beetles that will speed you on your way. Or you could sell your TBT bells on the forum for In game bells. Good luck!
