there's infininte perfect fruit but I believe that is a hacked item which by rule your not really suppose to sell here. I know there's lots of post about it on other forums. Also if you have the golden shovel you can plant bell trees. It all depends on luck though if it grows or not. But I think the fastest way is to sell things on retail (this forum)) Good luck!

Save your perfect fruit up until you have hundreds to sell. Sell them, preferably, in a bell boom town where your native perfect fruit is on premium. It might take a while for you to be able to do that, and it won't be as fast or efficient as going to the island, but you can make millions in one go.
You can also make sure to take fossils to Blathers and have them inspected before you sell them, farm bamboo shoots to sell at Retail, cover your beach in palm trees so you can sell the fruit and you can fish at certain times of day to catch seasonal rare fish.
At the end of the day, there are plenty of other ways to make money, but the island is the best by far.

I use the Flea Market for fossils and furniture, and sell twice the amount, minus 1 (2000 x 2 - 1 = 3999 for example, just in case I didn't phrase it right.). Most everything sells pretty fast and can make thousands quickly. ^_^ I just wait until someone comes in ReTail and push them to items I'm selling until they ping. c:

Selling fruit helps get bells. So does turnips. But with the latter, you need to understand how to properly sell them, and have money to invest in them to begin with.

If you have a friend that can let you borrow their DS and doesn't mind you time skipping a lot in their town, you can TT until you find a Large spike in your turnip selling, then when you reach a price you like, you can buy a TON of turnips, go to your friends town, sell them, repeat.
I made 130mill doing that. Joan was selling them for 110 and Reese was buying for 520. I did it non-stop for about two days (well, not counting eating and sleeping) and I made 130mill.

Dang, super kudos to you!!
Like some suggested, I saved up a lot of perfect orange baskets. Then someone had a perfect orange special at their Re-Tail and allowed me to come over and sell them. I made so much money that day! Otherwise, I do what most people do - I fish/catch bugs on the island, I sell turnips, and I shake all of my trees every day for coins. Still do!

The stalk market is a good way to make money. Also, if you have an Amiibo card, scanning it once a day for the 5 MEOW coupons nets you 15k a day just from a simple scan (if you exchange the coupons for bells), plus whatever the item the villager gives you sells for.
