so.. if I don't like who pings me to move, is there a way to change that? I know if you load or save your game any time after 6 am, it doesn't work.

but let's say I tried to reset it like plot resetting. I set the time to about 5:58 AM, save, and then I made a new character. then before getting a house and TPC, I talk to my normal villagers (the only ones that are awake). if I talked to them, would they eventually say "Did you hear _____ was thinking about moving?" like they do to my mayor? has anyone tried this?

my other theory was what if I set the time to 5:58 AM, and just closed my DS and let it sit on until EVERYONE was awake, then just went around to see who pings? and if I don't like who it is, if I quit, nothing would be saved, right? because I loaded my town before 6 AM?

sorry if none of that really made sense lmao

Nope, you can't reset something like that. Villagers ping to move based on things like friendship levels or when they moved in (like how the 10th is usually the hardest/nearly impossible to move out) and it's not really random in a sense where a different villager will ask if you reset, since it's not based on a cycle but other variants.

that explains a lot, my town is 40% villagers I DON'T WANT, yet my dreamies are ALWAYS the ones that ping. I've been trying to befriend the villgers I hate because of that.
I actually tried out my first theory to reset the mover, making a new character. all the villagers are actually awake and just tell me to go to the town hall, they wont talk to me normally :(

Ok. Here's a trick that I use to get the villagers that I don't want to ping & move out.

This process starts on the day your dreamie or a villager you want to keep pings you to move.

1. Of course, deny the moving ping.
2. Then, you TT 6 days forward. Load the game, and save & quit right away.
3. TT back 6 days back. You should be on the same day when you denied the first moving ping.
4. Walk around and see anyone pings. Or talk to every villager a couple times until you figure out who's thinking about moving out.

At this point don't TT anymore or go to next day until you find out who's moving. Soneone SHOULD be planning to move. If it's someone you wanted out, good. If not, deny the move request and repeat the process.

It works 100% of the time when I use it. Hopefully you can try it out and get the villager out.
