Any villager pictures guides?

Are there any guides for getting villagers pictures besides april fools ones? I know you have to talk to them a lot, but how much and how often?

A friend of mine has had luck giving perfect foreign fruit when they ask for just fruit or a specific fruit (ie, oranges etc). But, you might have to reset your game a few times before it works. I have not received a lot of portraits but I know that so long as you do difficult tasks for villagers (like catch rare bugs/fish or help with petitions/time capsules), there's a higher chance of them giving you their picture.

The best way is to just talk to them everday, do a request for them everyday (and complete it that day) and send them a letter with a gift everyday

All of those things worked for me. I got Kidd's picture after giving him an foreign perfect fruit when he asked for fruit. I got Lobo's pic when he asked for an 'ocean fish' and I gave him a shark. I keep a shark, dorado, golden stag and basket of foreign perfect fruit in my closet at all times, ready for when they ask for stuff! I also *try* to write everyday, and I always write mushy stuff with lots of 'like' and 'friend' and 'present' in the letter to see if that helps get good letters and gifts back.

Anyone know how many times I need to talk to them and how many days it usually takes?

It usually takes 5 to 10 days depending on the requests they ask for and the items you send them in the mail

Also when they ask for furniture, the best kind to give them is something quite expensive and/or customized furniture. If you give them customized furniture they give really good responses back, and I imagine that means the friendship meter gets a good boost I talk to my villagers daily until they start getting annoyed and say things like "You again J-Star?!" or "What is it now, puffy?!" lol.

15 tasks is the average requirement for the picture, it would seem, but things like perfect foreign fruit and customized furniture most likely have a bigger impact.
