Any tips on moving villagers out?

I'm trying to move Merengue out.(i need tbt bells lol) Any tips?

this is what i did to boot cesar

1. run around to get moving pings.
2. if it's not merengue, deny, save,and TT 6 days forward
3. TT 6 days backward again to present time
4. repeat step 1

keep doing this until u get merengue to ping you
