Any retro game collectors out there?

I and my daughter, between us we have almost every system. We unfortunately lost our NES when we trusted a "friend of a friend" with it. He pulled a midnight move without returning it. Still have some games though.

Not me. I wouldn't call my oldest brother a collector, per se, but he has a small collection of goodies. His closet is like a goldmine of games and consoles, excellent condition but still well-loved. I'm dying to go through it all someday.

I am one that you may call a collector. Currently own every Nintendo console except the Virtual Boy and have a game collection of 100+ games.

yes i might just have a problem
cannot even get rid of duplicate games of which i really gain nothing for having extras of, on top of the spending money for food on games instead

I'm a collector, I like to keep games and consoles as mint as I possibly can. Space to store everything is becoming a problem though.

Hoy.

Lol right? Over 100? I have over 210 games showing on this TV stand I have. There's easily another 200 hiding in this here clear box in my closet, and then another god knows how much (too many) hiding behind that box in this not-clear one. It's 100% Nintendo, Sega and Sony stuff. But I pretty much will only get stuff I remember seeing, wanted, or have some other significance to me. There's 296 US/NA N64 games, but I'm on no mission to get all of them, just the ones that are important to me in some way...

I'm too broke to be an actual collector, but I do love retro video games a lot more than newer ones. I still play my N64 more than anything else, haha

I'm a little shocked how many N64 fans there are on this website, I always feel like I'm in the last 0.1% of people who still have their N64 plugged in and play it side by side with my current gen stuff.

My first console was the N64. However, my nostalgia goggles broke some time ago for it.
NES and Gamecube are better.

NES is boring in comparison to almost all of any of them imo. I always regret buying NES VC games, they never hold me more than a few hours. GameCube = in ways yes better than N64. Built on the games we had before, made worlds bigger, but I just can't nostalgia over it the same way. A few games really spark me still though....
GameCube was so strange lol in a good way.

there was that basketball game with Mario in it... and the weird old CoD games. More text bubbles and even speech than ever before. The Mic plug in for Mario Party. The best gameboy player ever imo.

I just try to get most of the good ones... or the ones I've the most fun with (or had). I don't want games that will break my controller... (Mario Party) or games that I'll just throw away. I don't like fighting games but I bought Mortal Kombat 2 because I know I'll give it a shot... but I do prefer Killer Instinct...

I bought a new Gamecube because I've a Wii... so I can play GB games with the Game Boy Player... and I got several Gamecube masterpieces and yes, I'll get some more very soon... if I can find them. Next on the list is Viewtiful Joe...

I really want to find the first two Turok games (on N64) because when I made my research, it was done by Iguana Entertainment that became Retro Studios (Metroid Prime which is the best game that I've ever played).
