hello, as somebody from louisiana, most people i know got hit pretty dang hard. attached is a poll to see how my fellow southerners have been faring. god knows weather like this doesnt come around often.
i’m in the mid-atlantic but i technically live in the south. my local news station had reported that it would start snowing by 7 PM yesterday but it actually snowed overnight so i woke up to around five inches of snow and freezing rain.
thank you! i have always preferred the cold over the dastardly louisiana heat and humidity, so ive actually had a fair bit of fun. it rarely snows here, so i took the opportunity to have a bit of fun with it.
i also have a condition that makes me incredibly susceptible to overheating, which makes it hard to exercise in normal weather around here. whenever it gets cold, i tend to go on runs and exercise outside. definitely an upside to such a terrible winter storm!
I got just ice and snow but I can't really vote "nothing major" because my old house doesn't warm up well in these temperatures and I am miserable for various reasons. I get cold really easily, apparently more than the rest of my family.
