Hi! I am a musician myself, and was wondering if any of you were as well!

Tell us a little about yourself as a musician:

Instrument(s): Singing, Bass Guitar
Favorite genre/time period to sing: 80s, contemporary pop, Baroque, musical theatre
Anything else?: currently studying at an exclusive arts school for singing, so that's good XD

I wish I was musically inclined, but alas, I must admire from afar.

Kudos to you for playing bass guitar! Love me some bass ♥

Instrument(s): Guitar, Bass, Drums, Ableton.
Favorite genre/time period to sing: Future Bass
Anything else?: I produce music as a hobby.

Instrument(s): Guitar, piano, pipe organ, drums, singing
Favourite genre: Varied (classical to rock, anything rlly XD)
Anything else?: Everything i do for music is a hobby ^^

I can play recorder and I'm going to my first alto sax lesson this Saturday xD Does that count? :P

I play the cello (completed all grades and qualified to teach), piano (completed all grades and qualified to teach), flute (completed all grades and qualified to teach), and I'm a trained singer in both classical and musical theatre

My favourite genre for playing/listening to is definitely classical, and my favourite period is late classical/early romantic. My favourite genre to sing is probably just songs from musicals lol, I always loved musical theatre exams because you had to get dressed up for them it was great

I'm in several orchestras and chamber music groups, music is a massive part of my life and has been since I was 3 or 4

Instrument(s): Piano, violin, singing
Favourite genre: Any orchestral music really. I like singing songs from musicals too.
Anything else?: I've been in a couple of musicals. When it comes to piano, I'm a fan of Einaudi. I play piano to complete the grades (and because I enjoy it) but I play violin purely for enjoyment.

Violin, piano, flute, and singing c:

My fav genre is really anything. I listen to classical when I go to sleep uwu~ jpop is really catchy, too ^^

Yes, I consider myself a musician. I can play the piano and I'm currently attempting to play the guitar. I enjoy all genres of music, and I used to get vocal guidance, but I dropped out.

I've played bass guitar for 7 years, guitar for 2 and a half, and I can just pick up and play most things. I unfortunately can not sing but my dad sings and raps.

I have been playing the piano for about 5-6 years, and I'm going to start playing the ukulele soon ^^

I play violin... and recorder...

im in orchestra at school

I wanna learn guitar (acoustic)

fave genre(s): I listen to pretty much anything...

I r musaksion!

'Main' instrument: Guitar for 8/9 years (I can't remember if I was 15 or 16 when I started)

Others (in order of competence): Singing, Bass, Drums, Piano, the Triangle (Triangle master race)

Favorite genre: Metal - Melodic Death Metal and Thrash being the main subgenres. Melodic Death is a good genre for incorporating other musical styles, which is one reason I like it.

Stuff done with music: I went to collage for 2 years to study music (because it sounded fun) which included performance, theory, composition, studio recording, production, marketing/promotion, legal and I took singing lessons as my mandatory 'personal skill' lesson (because I didn't need guitar lessons so I wanted to get better at something new). Everything since then is mostly band related stuff, personal projects and a few 'hired gun' jobs where I either recorded for somebody or filled in for bands who were a man down for whatever reason (done this with guitar, bass and vocals).

I never really wanted to do something 'professional' with music, I just enjoy doing it. Collage was just something to help me become better with my hobby since I didn't know what I 'really' wanted to do at collage at the time, especially so since I hadn't had a formal lesson in music before collage (self taught guitarist).
I would absolutely hate to do it as a full time job. I don't mind earning money from it, but I don't want it to become something I HAVE to do either from fear I would start to not enjoy it or even resent it.

Well, I sing and play the clarinet, and hopefully I'll be switching to bass clarinet for concert season at my school.
