I know this isn't Google but I really need to know ...

What can I do to make my Melee disc run smoothly again because it has scratches on it.
Buying a new copy is already one idea ...

that seems to be the only option because all of those disc cleaners are just crap because they scratch it even more!

Melee isn't too expensive anymore. I'd suggest picking up a new copy. All your stuff is saved on a memory card anyways.

Toothpaste does work.. I tried it with my AC:CF disk, but it didn't work ;-;.

Only because I didn't do every step carefully..

Try the Wii Lens Cleaner, it worked for me with a unreadable AC:LGTTC disc.
