Any idea why this wont grow?

I cant grow anything in the spot right in front of my mayor, the spot next to it is fine though.
Ive tried bamboo, a tree, a bush... Nothing grows there.
Any ideas as to why?

It could be a sunlight problem?
You could test it by digging up the bush and bamboo shoot (to its right) and replant the bush.

If the bush grows, then its a sunlight problem.

Wait but if it's a sunlight problem the empty spot next to it would have the same issue right? I just grew something there without problems.

from what I believe some spots in town are just dead spots ;;;;;;;;;;

maybe you could change your garden plan so that spot is covered!

probably the dead spot on your town. There is dead spot in every town and one will be possible nothing can grow there, try again and it still the same, then yes.

It's definitely a dead spot. Sunlight only applies to adjacent trees.

Also wasn't there a tree/bush limit per 7x7 area?
Something like 8 trees and 15 bushes. Not sure how it applies to your situation though, since that one is your 15th bush...
