Any help with getting pictures? This is driving me INSANE

I've been trying to get a picture from Fang since FOREVER. None of the other villagers I've gotten have made me interested in getting their pictures, except for Daisy and Bruce, but I stick to one at a time.

I send him letters with present (usually furniture, not pitfalls or stuff like that) every day

I talk to him 6-10 times a day

I've caught almost every fish and bug he's asked for. I remember I was never able to find the stringfish he asked me for along with another one, but other than that I've given him everything.

If he wants an ocean fish, I give him a shark. If he wants a river fish, I give him a koi. (or something rare)

If he wants a fruit, I give him a perfect fruit.

I've bought every single thing he's wanted to sell with his ridiculous prices

I don't know what else to do! This is driving me insane. Am I doing something wrong?

Did he ask for you to sign a petition? That usually boosts your friendship level. Also, has he asked to leave yet? I remember watching a video saying when you're nearing the top of the "befriending ladder" that it activates the "moving prompt". You know you're nearing the top when he's super nice to you, and just your presence makes him smile..

I got Jay's picture after giving him a Horned Hercules, getting a petition signed, getting him new furniture, and sending him relevant presents in the mail and I showed up for his birthday party...

Anyways, I hope you get his picture soon!!

Save & Continue before you give him a present
if he doesnt give you the present, turn off the game and try again
this is honestly the only valid way, otherwise the item is simply one of like 50 items that can be given as a reward, so you need to reset

I didn't think of that. I'll make sure to try that, since there really isn't any way to make our friendship 'stronger'.
