Everlost by Neal Shusterman is a quick read, and it's about two teenagers who get into a car accident and wind up in this in-between world.

Unwind by the same author is about a time in the future where parents aren't allowed to have abortions, but they are allowed to have their children "unwound" (having all your individual body parts cut and seperated and donated later on) before the age of 18. This book challenges the problems of abortion and war. It shows what it means to truly be alive.

EDIT:
I'm not sure whether or not you'd like these, but I recommend them.

A Catcher in the Rye is the worst classic book I've ever read.
Then you have *censored.2.0* taste.

That book is a *censored.3.0*ing classic, straight up.
Pfft, what did Salinger accomplish with Holden Caulfield that was so great? I don't get it, teenagers *censored.3.0* up all the time. Maybe I'll read it again now that I'm a bit older, but I doubt my reaction will change much once I finish.

Also, that book killed Lennon. Fact.

He embodied a teenage boy with raging hormones better than anyone has ever done, ever. Blaming that book on his death is a *censored.2.0* way to honor the guy, in my opinion.

Well, it's true. About the only thing Chapman had on him that night was that book.

I am being facetious, though.

Yeah, I guess I forgot to ask how old you were... gender... what type of book you want to read.

It's not Salinger's fault the guy was a lunatic and latched onto the book. It could have been any book.

A really good series is the The Uglies Pretties Specials and Extras.

Uglies is really intense. Pretties some things your interested in happen. Specials, lets just say cutting is the specialty. And Extras is when every thing becomes clear.....
