You're going to want to be on the villager trading plaza instead.
I also think it would benefit you to have a more specific offer in mind (bells, furniture, other villagers etc) Sometimes its best to just watch and wait and see what villagers get put up, you can get good deals if you are in the right place at the right time

Wrong forum. You'll want to look in the villager trading plaza. They don't allow looking for threads but there's a specific sticky thread that you can post in. Hope that helps.
