The way I have my village laid out, all of my shops are near the plaza, and I have tons of space to fill below there.

i cant bc im not anywhere near my switch until friday, but basically, its a stretch of land that leads from my airport to the residence services...my houses are near the edge of that plot of land, so theres plenty of space to decorate sideways as well
