ALOHA
I just recently moved to Maui Hawaii for a year, and I was wondering if we have anyone on here that is from here, or currently living here!:lemon:

Hey there, I live on the Big Island! I know there's a few others from Hawaii around here as well, but I haven't been on much recently, so idk if they're still active. Where are you from originally & what made you decide to move to Maui for a year?

That's awesome! Aloha :-)
I am originally from Connecticut so I am a long ways from home haha. I came here to explore another part of the world. My heart is at the beach and I wanted to move somewhere where it is beautiful weather all year round. It's gorgeous here in maui and I love it so much. I love living on the beach. Are you from Hawaii? What brought you here?

Wow that's a pretty big change, had you visited Maui before you moved there? I'm glad you're enjoying it there though! I've only been to Maui a couple of times, the last time being almost a decade ago, but it's pretty awesome from what I remember. And yeah, I've lived here my whole life (turning 23 next month)! I've actually wanted to move away for a while, but haven't managed to embrace my fears & take the plunge yet haha sigh

Yeah it is a really huge change. Such a culture, weather and lifestyle difference! Back in connecticut my friends and family are already wearing flannels, hoodies, pants and shoes. I'm over here with a tshirt, shorts and flip flops (I need to get used to saying slippers lol). I love the weather here though. Nice and warm with a nice breeze. It really is paradise!
I was in the same boat as you though, about embracing your fears and taking the plunge. I was so set on my life back home with a great job, making good money and friends and family that love me so much. But I decided hey - I am brave, I could do this and looking back on this it will be totally worth it. And remember, you can always come home. Your home will always be there <3
