I always see pictures of people's towns and their paths and landscaping just looks amazing while whenever I try my town ends up looking lame. Any tips? Like where I should put down paths or what paths I can use?
you have a really nice map wow
anyway when I first started putting down paths, I started from major... landmarks?? like my mayors house, town tree, etc. and then kept branching them out until they all connected.
I plan ahead as to where I'd place my orchards and PWPs, and then lay down paths that lead to the most significant projects when they are completed. I also place trees and flowers along the paths to make it feel more like a forest.
First off, love your layout, I always love it when the plaza is in the middle. But yes, like people have said, just try to connect big things, like your town hall, train station, etc. There's lots of cute paths to choose from, but you also need to keep moving villagers in mind as well. They can really mess up your paths if you aren't careful...
the west half of your map is identical to one of my towns. For me I like it better when a town isn't all pathed, like still having natural areas etc. hope that helped a bit!
You could start a pathway to the left of the house above the mayor and just go down to the bridge.
Cross the bridge and make the pathway between the event plaza and your villager houses on the right side. Takes you up to the train station.
Or you could do a large pathway like Mango has for the event plaza. At the bottom and the top.
Than just connect retail, upcoming PWP and villagers house with pathways.
I use the stepping stone pathway one tile pathway to each of my villagers houses.
I used pathways on each side of my event plaza when it was in the middle.
