Tom Nook's Bodyguard
Hi there,
I guess I'm also making a comeback here. I used to be somewhat active during the biggest ACNH hype but then I lacked the time and energy to post because life happened. But now I'm back, and guess what... I still play ACNH. I stopped for about half a year in 2023 for personal reasons, but that was all. NH really has become my go-to comfort game. I've kept my first island around, I've never re-started and I don't think I ever will, given the time and effort it took to complete the museum and all the Nook Miles tasks etc. It's so comforting to see my villagers every day and to know they're here whenever I wish to escape from real life. I don't even really mind that they often repeat the same things when I talk to them.
Since I was only somewhat active here and never really the loudest guy I figured I'd say a few things about myself. My name is Alexander, I'm 42, I work in IT and I'm from Germany. Tom Nook isobviously my favorite Animal Crossing character (my second favorite character is Wisp), I think he's super fascinating because of his shady past and his reputation as a villain and loan shark etc etc. My favorite villager is Sasha, but I also like Walker and Henry a lot. My favorite villager personality is lazy... and I have way too many lazy villagers on my island.
Aside from Animal Crossing I like Resident Evil 4 (OG and Remake), GTA, Dying Light, Pokémon and also lots of retro games I grew up with, such as Super Mario Land. TV wise I love mostly older shows like Dallas, Dynasty, ALF; but I'm also a huge Dune fan and I love Dune: Prophecy in particular. It's one of the VERY few contemporary shows I watch. Music-wise I'm here for 80s and 90s music of all kinds, but I do also love the modern works of some bands that are still around such as the Backstreet Boys. Celebrity-wise I'm a fan of theincredibly handsome British actors Mark Strong and Sir Patrick Stewart.
