I've noticed many people having issues with user titles and colouring, where the custom HTML shows up within your user title itself. This is a bug with our current system that we're unable to fix right now.
To correct this issue, if you are editing your profile from the "Edit Profile" page in "Settings" please make sure to re-type your User Title in the box at the top of the page before you hit save. Alternatively, you can edit your profile directly from your User Profile page in the "About Me" section and that should avoid the issue.
We hope to get this fixed soon so that it's not a problem, but for now workarounds will have to do.
