Ankha gave me her pic, weirdness...

So I've been having Ankha in my town for a few months, now? since it's Ankha (a.k.a. One of my dreamies) I spoke to her preeeeetty often, at least once every day. Yesterday, she came over to my house, it was maybe the third time she did? and, this morning, she sent me her pic O_O

Is that normal? I've had villagers in my town for waaaay longer than her that have yet to give me their pic, if only Pietro. So I ask, is the pic-giving randomized? '___'

I depends. If you talked to her a lot and sent her lots of letters and did reqest for her, you have a better level of freindship and animals will decide to give you their pic. Though I've gotten pics from Shep when he moved, and he was only only in my town for a month (in game wise)

I believe that once you have reached the highest level of friendship with a villager, there is always a really small chance they will give you their picture. Therefore, it's fully possible to have maintained the highgest level of friendship with a villager for months without receiving their picture, while a newly made best friend gives you their picture within weeks or even shorter.

Huh, that's a little weird, but I guess that's fine since I have absolutely no intention of letting Pietro go XD I'm sure he'll give me his pic eventually. Kinda wish I hasn't thrown away the letter in which Ankha gave me her pic, though :/

I think that it's random. Having a high friendship with them just makes it possible (or more likely) that you'll get their picture, but you won't get it automatically. Maybe you just need to keep being friends with Pietro and he'll send you his picture eventually.

If you don't want to wait, you can always time travel to April Fools' day. You can get the pictures of any villagers through that event. In it, Blanca will disguise herself as each one of your villagers and all you have to do is identify the right villager correctly. It's more fun to guess the answers, but if you don't want to fail at all, there are guides online that have all the correct possible answers for each villager.

I think it is. I have high-level friendship with Anchovy and yet he has never given me his pic (except April Fool's Day). However, I only had Pekoe for about 2-3 months before she gave me her pic.

I was more attentive to Hamphrey than most other villagers, but he was most stubborn in handing over a pic. Last time I mentioned this, I suggested that personality might play a part.

Some villagers will give up their picture fast and wouldn't stop.
Angus gave them away like candy. Daisy made me work for her picture. It was two more request after doing a petition.
