In my town there were about four noticeable ships since I started; Bruce and Francine, Bam and Lopez, Beau and Whitney, and a possible complicated relationship between Julian and Colton. I swear I didn't come up with any of these, they just kinda happened.
Bruce and Francine were the earliest couple, I wasn't overly fond of Francine but she was starting to grow on me when Bruce moved in next door to her. They only ever had nice things to say about each other. I once took a picture of a conversation they were having but I missed before and after so there's just this one out-of-context line of Bruce blushing while saying "I'll give it some thought, but I doubt I can keep up with you! You always stay SO classy." I don't remember what was going on but there was definitely something happening between them. He also might have been prone to a bit of jealousy with lines like "Say, Lopez and Francine are together a lot, don't you think?"
Bam and Lopez... From the first day Bam moved in and Lopez mentioned how we still don't know whether the new arrival is a girl or not followed by "Maybe I'll go to the new house and take a rose to say hi either way, Like a sir." To the day Bam moved out followed by "We gotta stop him from leaving!" I know that's typical smug dialog but it was cute, and Lopez was the next to move so it may have hit him a bit hard. I'd often see them visiting each other and Lopez would be all "Don't tell anyone that Bam was here, OK, like a sir?" I liked that catchphrase for him, it never got old. My favorite conversation from them would probably be this one where Bam is all "Hey, Lopez. How come you're so desperate to be in love with a girl? I mean, isn't it more fun to be single and hang out with the guys? Guys can do cool guy stuff together." and Lopez freaks out when he notices me eavesdropping.
Whitney and Beau, I never liked it but all evidence points to Whitney being tsundere for Beau. You see, Whitney used to gossip negatively about deer villagers, no other animals, just deer. Beau was one of the more frequently mentioned, possibly due to being around longer than the other deer but then something changed. After all that weird negativity like "That little so-and-so can really hog a couch..." or "Just a warning Aidan. Beau is a big meanie" and other weird gossip, Whitney randomly sent a gift to him and when he later sent one to her Whitney said "I guess this means Beau wants to put those bad feelings behind us." Later she started talking about him more nicely like "You'd probably never guess this but Beau is one of my favorite people in Crystal." She'd stand next to him in the crowd when fishing tourney winners were announced, I caught her visiting his house and I'd see him visit her. When Beau eventually moved one of the last things he said to me was "A town without me is like a feast without grilled cheese. Sad and hungry..." and a day or two ago Whitney randomly mentions grilled cheese in a conversation. I know they mention a lot of foods but after all these months it just makes me wonder. Perhaps it was a tsundere thing or perhaps he helped her overcome her deer prejudice, either way I still don't ship it but that's how it went. Crazy things apparently go on when my mayor isn't around.
Julian and Colton may be a little cliche but I think there is something going on, it might be a little complicated though. You know how when you talk to a villager enough times they go into a 'thinking' mode and smugs list a few names followed by "Incidentally, some friendly advice: when you send flowers to a girl remember which one it was..." If you only have two girls in your town then the third villager listed is a guy, for Julian the guy was Colton but Colton listed Sparro... It's not the only random implication of something going on with him, at some point Sparro asked me to bring Colton to his house and after Sparro gave a gift and Colton said "Heh, it's usually the ladies who lavish gifts upon me, so this is a little unusual..." My other villagers notice this stuff too, Whitney keeps talking about how jealous she is of Colton and Julian's relationship and mentioned that she always sees Colton and Sparro practicing archery together. Also Knox is all "Say, Julian and Colton get along pretty well don't you think? Like, REALLY well!" I often suspected Sparro and Julian of being close though, Sparro kept Julian's catchphrase "Glitter" for the longest time and they often mentioned each other but it's died down after Colton moved in.

I tried to get 2 animals of the same species different sexes so that they wouldn't have abominations when the time. By abominations i mean things like puddles and pietro (Puddles always gifts Pietro and talks about him....) 
imagine a baby sheep with frog skin..... Anyways i tried to pair up Graham with Flurry because they are both adorable nerds and...... Graham fell for Soliel and Flurry fell for Clay. I decied that Clay and Soliel's relationship could work out, so i just stalked them un til they started having a conversation. I was soooo let down! Apparently Graham likes Soliel and tries flatterin g her, but she always takes his flattery as insults. I also got Muffy for Pietro because i thought they would make a cute pair and Pietro is in love with Flurry. I am now down with trying to be a match maker, it has not worked at all.

Lollybun's inspired a couple of stories and they're definitely going to be a canon couple when I get around to making more polished one-shots. My Bunnie's definitely a quieter Peppy compared to others so I can totally see them working. LuchaBun is cute too but I just think he and Rosie are perfect for each other.
I can imagine Lolly not actually being oblivious but just being too shy to act, so she kinda fakes it. She's the type to show more through her actions. Bunnie, on the other hand, seems to wear her heart on her sleeve~
That's too bad. I could see Lolly and Rudy making a really cute couple. I'm sure she can hang in there a bit longer though xD
I've never heard of a Marshal and Blaire pairing before. That's really interesting. The events leading up to it are really cute as well haha~
Poppy and Marshal seems to be a really popular thing lol. Can't blame it. The fanart I've seen is quite adorable!
Both stories are really adorable, especially Vesta and Pashmina. I had Vesta as one of my starting villagers in my first town and she's a total doll. Wolfgang unfortunately didn't leave the best impression on me, but I do quite like Olivia, maybe ol' Wolfy can stand to gain some brownie points lol.Hmmmm, it's kind of hard to gauge what kind of relationships my villagers have with one another as most of them like to interact with each other so I get a lot of different stuff from time to time.
However, that being said I'm pretty sure Olivia and Wolfgang have a thing going on and I also hear a lot about Pashmina and Vesta. :3c
Olivia asked me to bring Wolfgang over twice to her home: the first to return something and I swear they were flirting! The second to talk to him about how she had a dream he left town and asked to confirm that because she was worried and he scoffed and said she had nothing to worry about. Also one day Olivia asked to hang me out at a certain time and what was she doing before then? She was going to go boogie boarding with Wolfgang! Aww~
As for Pashmina and Vesta a lot people like to talk about how close they are and a few of the other girls are jealous. They have such cute things to say about each other and they hang out around each other when they're both outside and it's so cute. Vesta said that even though Pashmina seems standoffish she's a really good friend to have and likewise Pashmina said she was glad for her friendship with Vesta. Awww~
I actually love when they ask you to bring villagers over. It happens so rarely and sometimes you get some massively adorable dialogue. I wish it happened just a bit more often!

Chrissy and Francine were literally made for each other. I'm not a Julian fan but I can definitely get behind a pairing with him and Colton, no doubt. Idk Whitney too well sadly, but <3's to Ankha. Lobo and Blanche is cute as well!
I don't mind those types of pairings at all. Animal Crossing is just such an open and gender-neutral game to begin with so it's very welcoming to any kind of relationship. I've always liked that aspect about it~ Everyone can feel welcome.
Haha lots of interesting stories there. I do like the Julian Conton pairing, and Sparro's involvement definitely makes for some juicy drama haha. Surprisingly LoLuchaBun is my first actual love triangle. Nobody else has given the jealous vibe so far.
I really like the Whitney/Beau story. Even if you don't ship it, it's an interesting little story about how characters can develop a lot~ I'm glad the two of them grew to be friends~
Hehe matchmaking just never seems to work at all. LollyBun is my first attempt at it and probably gonna be my only. and yeah the cross-breeding could be weird, but I kinda just don't make it a thought, really. Maybe I just feel the game is too innocent to let my thoughts cross that line lol. Though LollyBun babies would be adorable and you can't deny that! Little kittybunnies *~*

When I had Beau and Diana in my town, I shipped them like crazy.
I remember one time, Beau got me to deliver a present to Diana bc he was too shy or something and I'm pretty sure she wore it right away. But like, I loved their ship bc Diana is a snooty so I can just imagine her not liking Beau when they first met bc he's a lazy. But Beau always kinda liked her and just kept bugging her and eventually she started liking him.
The two of them are on my main street right now and I caught them "kissing" outside of T&T Emporium. It was adorable. XD

I see them as frenimies. I overheard a conversation with them and they were oddly polite to each other, as you would be to someone you don't like, unless you're very outspoken, and normal villagers aren't outspoken at all. It did break my heart because I wanted them to be friends so bad! I guess some things are just not meant to be.
I do think they would be a cute couple, they're both African animals and they're both food related. Cake and tea!
I think there is definitely something going on between Lobo and Whitney. They live right next to each other and they have literally attended every single one of each others birthdays since she's been in town. Also them and everyone else in town is always hinting towards it.

Right now in my town, I have two pigs curly the jock and truffles the peppy villager. I ship them because they are the same species. I also have coach the bull and patty the cow and they look really cute together. Patty is a new villager so she doesn't really know coach that much but I'm trying to get them together haha.
