A little late, but here I be! I was out for most of the day, and only now found time to upload my 3ds pics to my computer.

Anyhow, today's town tour features the last two rooms of my house: first, the upstairs, which I've made into a bedroom/bathroom. Initially, I wanted these two areas to be adjacent rooms, but separate from each other. And if the game let you have more than one room upstairs, I would definitely be all for making a separate bath for my house. But alas, the world of Animal Crossing has to be difficult... Anyhow, my bedroom is cabana-themed, and includes everything but the wallpaper, which I originally had but found very, very ugly. I soon changed it to the tropical vista, which is a HUGE improvement, IMO. Several items also have a Pac-Man custom design that I very tediously made myself. I also have a little reading area, some island- and pirate-themed collectibles, and of course, my bathroom off to the right. Though with a daily diet of nothing but fruit, fortune cookies, coffee, and the occasional chocolate coin, I don't really use it much. :p

And lastly, my basement, which is probably my favorite room in the whole house: my game room! I got this idea after seeing a jukebox for sale in the Nookling store one day, and later discovering some pictures of several people's ACNL "game rooms" online, I knew I had to have one of my own. I've laid mine out like a real-life arcade/bowling alley/bar, with a mannequin behind the counter serving coffee and (non-alcoholic) drinks, game tables, a bowling alley (though I'm thinking of getting rid of it because it looks kind of weird), my collection of guitars, and just because I had no other place to put it, my lovely phone. I also thought about putting some gorgeous furniture here to match the counter and stools, but since Gracie has stopped carrying it for now, it looks like I'll have to make do without it for now.

As I came out of my house today, I found a letter from Lolly in my mail telling me that her birthday is on the 27th! I'll have to remember to find her a nice gift. I found Astrid, and she wanted to come visit right away, so I agreed. She commented on my tea set in my kitchen and my huge cabana bed. I showed her every room, and she promptly showed herself out. Astrid was one of my starting villagers (Rosie, Lolly, Punchy and Roscoe were the other 4; only Roscoe has moved out) and while I don't particularly dislike her, I don't love her. Oddly, she has never, ever pinged me to move even once...guess she just loves this town too much. Even so, if she ever decided to move, I'd probably be okay letting her go.

After watering my flowers today (I'm getting better at it, as I only found 2 wilted ones today!), Eugene pinged me, and asked if I wanted to visit his house. I jumped at the opportunity to look for stolen or illegal goods in this malevolent marsupial's home, and we agreed to meet up after 12:30pm. Savannah was talking about how she always picks up decorating tips when she visits Rosie's house...even though their house interiors look nothing alike. Speaking of Rosie, she was talking about tomorrow's Fishing Tourney, which I'm still not sure I'll compete in since I have all the trophies, and I'm pretty sure I have all the furniture too. While looking for today's money rock, I accidentally hit it with my axe, and didn't angle myself just right, so I only wound up with about 3,000 bells...epic fail. Walker gave me a classic clock just for being a good friend--he must have remembered my epic living room layout! Thanks, little dog buddy! :)

Apollo was talking about how he loves to take naps on the town's picnic blanket, even on cloudy days like today. Oddly, though it was very overcast today, it never rained. And I was waiting and checking the instrument shelter and everything. Bloody irritating weather. Punchy was hungry, and asked me to pick him an apple. I headed to one of my trees and shook him off a nice one, and he seemed to enjoy it. He gave me a polka-dot lamp in return--I may send it to Rosie for her house. Astrid pinged me and said she had a new nickname for me: "Little S". I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I accepted. But if anyone else wants to call me this...no. Just no. I then caught Apollo and Savannah engaged in conversation, and they were discussing chili. Apollo was boasting about how great a chili chef he was, sneaking extra hot peppers into it for a nice kick. Savannah said she likes it with cheese, onions and tomatoes, and Apollo argued that all those ingredients made it stew, not chili. I didn't have the heart to tell him that all those ingredients are standard chili fare where I come from. Maybe he's one of those hardcore chili cooks that won't even put beans in his chili...

And of course, I didn't forget about visiting Eugene. I made sure to search every possible spot he could be hiding stolen goods: under the bed, in the dresser, behind the amp...uh, in the...tape slots on the stereo...you know, there's not a lot of places to hide things in here. Maybe I was misled... He offered to let me buy something out of his house, and I opted to take the t-shirt he had on display since it isn't part of his default house. As I was going to leave, he asked me what I thought of his house, and I told him it was great (in all seriousness, Eugene's house is really nice. I love all the sleek furniture and the maze wallpaper!). He acted all embarrassed, and thanked me for coming.

But once I stepped foot outside, it hit me...I FORGOT TO CHECK UNDER THE SOFA!!! Grrr...one of these days, Eugene. ONE OF THESE DAYS.

Anyhow, that was my day in a nutshell! Next time, I'll start showing you some of my favorite areas around town. Have a good night!

Your rooms are great! I really like the way you separated the bed and bath areas upstairs. That's always a bit of a question on how to do that and make it functional. It would be nice if we could build more than one upstairs room; keep it smaller and make it a bath/laundry room. And I know I could use a walk-in closet in my house! Maybe in a future game.

The basement looks like a lot of fun! I can see why it's your favorite. Thanks for sharing pics of your house. I can't wait to see how you've landscaped the town.

You have very sweet villagers who seem to give you nice items. And, with Lolly's birthday coming up, maybe Eugene has been acting secretive because he's found a great gift for her and doesn't want anyone to spoil the surprise. Either way, I'm sure you'll figure out what he's up to.

LOVE the pacman design. That is awesome! Super creative house, lots of great ideas like how you used a boxing mat to lead up to your set of bowling pins. I really like the mini-bar idea! You should keep it. (: If you want more of the Gorgeous set down there, I think a Gorgeous Sofa might look cool. Like a little place to sit and chill or something.

I need to start thinking about a present for Lolly, too! She deserves only the best.
Can't wait to see more of your town. : D
