Another day in Animalia begins today! To start off, here's the beginning of my "house tour", starting with my main room, which I have made into my living room. I love the quaint, warm look of this room, just like a real-life cabin. I discovered that most of the classic furniture looks great here, along with the combination of the modern wood wall and exotic rug. There's a sitting area for watching TV and drinking coffee, a desk, and lots of plants near the south side (gotta get those feng shui points!). And of course, I have lots of knickknacks and collectibles, including a pic my favorite villager, Rosie (well, former favorite). Tomorrow, you'll get a look at the other three rooms on my main floor.

I started out my day by getting out of my green outfit, changing into the nice red ensemble you see above. But before I even exited my house, Al decided to drop by. I should mention that Al is the only one of my villagers that I really and truly do not care for. I talked to him exactly once, sat down on my sofa, and just ignored him until he went away. Sorry, Al...until you decide to ping me to move, we're not on speaking terms.
After that unexpected nuisance, I headed outside, checking my mail to find a letter from Eugene, with a gift of some orange pants attached. Well...orange is my favorite color, so thanks, I guess. Then I was off to water my flowers, but after watering roughly one-fourth of them, it started raining, so I could go on my way without worrying about the rest. I made sure to check on Lolly, who despite being indoors, was now well. To thank me for taking such good care of her, she gave me a bishop. Checking Re-Tail, turnip prices had jumped to 125 bells before noon, and 140 afterward. Since it didn't increase that much the second time, I jumped at the opportunity and sold all I had, making a small profit. Rosie came in, and wanted to buy the lovely vanity I had put up for sale. I think she's learning, folks... Astrid had a present she had gotten Mira, so I was happy to deliver it. Once I got it there, though, Mira wanted to play the old "guess what's in the box and I'll give it to you" game. Since it's almost always clothing, I guessed that...but it turned out to be furniture instead! How often does that happen? Chatting with Apollo today, he mentioned that he and Eugene aren't really the best of friends, only really speaking to each other to be polite. This is interesting, since their houses are literally right next to each other...
Speaking of Eugene, I found a lost item around town that, upon talking to a few of my villagers, happened to belong to the smug koala himself. He said the paper bag was full of "valuable stuff", but wouldn't tell me what was in it. Not gonna lie, that sounds very shady. As mayor, I conducted a full search of his house, finding that everything in his dresser smelled like cologne. Probably stolen. Come to think of it, those orange pants he sent me as a gift might be part of a former prison uniform. A drug addict cat and an ex-convict koala...I should probably build my police station. Very soon.

And speaking of criminals, Crazy Redd was in town today, but the real painting he had for sale was already in my museum. I don't think I mentioned it before, but I'm only five pieces of art away from completing my museum! I'm in no hurry to complete it right away, though...maybe once I get down to 2 or 3 artworks. Later on, Mira asked me to catch her a butterfly, and even though it was still raining, I accepted (if all else failed, I could take a quick trip to the island to grab one for her). Luckily, it stopped raining pretty soon afterward, and I found a peacock butterfly for my little bunny heroine. She rewarded me with an elephant shirt. Later on, Punchy saw the blue tartan shirt that Eugene had given me earlier for returning his "loot bag", and wanted to trade it for his bad plaid tee. Rather than ask why it was so "bad", I agreed, and Punchy promptly put on the new shirt. I made sure to smell my newly gifted shirt to see if I could detect any drugs. I don't want that cat unloading any illegal substances on me.
Savannah was the last of my villagers I had yet to talk to, and she commented on my most recent dream visitor (I won't say their name here, since I want to respect their privacy). And to top off my day, I did something I don't do nearly enough--I got a cup of coffee at the Roost. Phineas was also there, and commented on how if someone were to pull all the weeds in town, he'd give a badge for that. I deleted my Beautiful Town ordinance just to get this badge, so I wonder if that's a sign that I'm close to getting it!
That's it for today, but I'll be back with more tomorrow. Have a great day, everyone!
