Could it be announced tomorrow at E3? I really am excited for this, ACNL was pretty good but I hold an opinion which is opposite of most, I personally prefer console Animal Crossing games a lot better than handheld. I'm not sure what it is. Probably that I'm a graphics snob. I'm not sure, I just feel the atmosphere is far superior and emersive and I enjoyed the visuals of City Folk. Just the way it felt, the way it was put together... I can't put my finger on it. I feel the same towards the GameCube version. Also, the towns are just wayy too small on NL. They aren't very unique feeling, the multiple "levels" of the town seems almost mandatory for these games or it just doesn't feel right, too cramped and blah.

I also feel like the game pad could also complement animal crossing in a variety of ways. The map, inventory, emotions, text entry, etc could reside out of the way on the game pad, yet totally accessible. The game could really shine on the TV. Perhaps things could somehow be switched to a more "City Folk" view so the game could be played off TV.

Agh, back to the point. Could the next animal crossing be announced tomorrow? What other games could potentially be announced? Next Pokemon games? I feel like I will be disappointed to be honest.

Nintendo just leaked 3d amibo(not cards) of K.K., Isabelle, Sable, and Tom Nook. So I think the chances are above 50% now.

OMG, I'm so hyped! Like 1 hour left!! If it does come out I am buying a Wii U and the game. Ooohhh I hope they do a special edition!(okay, calm down me, take it one step at a time).

WHAT!? I leave my TV for 15 minutes and it gets announced?!

KNEW IT HAHAHAHAHAHAHA YEEEEES THIS IS Y I MADE GRIEVANCE THREAD

Naww whyyy!! How could they after happy home designer

It looks like it's something to hold everyone's interest until a proper new AC game is released for the new Nintendo console.I don't have a Wii U but I don't think I'll get one just to play this game.

ughhh this announcement disappointed me SO MUCH. a game that requires amiibo to play? no thank you. nintendo is terrible at stocking amiibo and i REALLY WANTED a full-fledged animal crossing game for the wii u!!! the animal crossing course in mario kart 8 + animal crossing plaza had me so hopeful but now i'm just super sad. :(

at least happy home designer looks more interesting than the initial introduction. i still probably won't play it but from the nintendo direct i think we might be able to choose our skin tone from the start!

I haven't made too much use of my Wii U. I bought it in November or December 2012. I enjoyed a couple games. Last one I bought was of "Mario Kart 8." But, for me personally, I just haven't been into Wii U. A brand-new "Animal Crossing" would be a help. But, it better be really good; really thoughtful; really engaging. Otherwise, it would be a letdown.

you could literally say the same thing about Happy Home Designer which launches like 3 to 5 months before it!

Yeah..you would think that with the time and energy used to make these two lightweight games, they could have at least made an updated version of New Leaf for the Wii U with a couple of new features and some new villagers. The next actual Animal Crossing game had better kick some serious booty.
