Hi forum, how are we all? Well, I sincerely hope! So, which one is your favourite? and why? also, do you recommend one over the other or both of them? Do you only play one version and are thinking of picking it up? Do tell!

Animal crossing or new leaf?

I'm guessing you mean New Horizons or New Leaf? Since both are technically Animal Crossing games.
But I've logged over 1000 hours in both and, if you're going to only play one, I highly suggest New Horizons- mainly because it's the one that's going to be getting more updates and content, whereas New Leaf is not. But I also love the crafting mechanics in New Horizons, and the ability to decorate outside is AMAZING- it's something I've wanted since the first game, and yet, it's somehow even more fun then I ever imagined it'd be. I LOVE fully customizing my town- not just adding a bench, like I would in ACNL, but adding full seating areas, plazas, gardens, beach furniture, just anything I can imagine.
I've considered going back and playing ACNL a bit since getting ACNH, but ultimately I always end up remembering all the features it lacks that ACNH has and figure it's not worth it, lol.

New Leaf: Better for building a community, a lot of shops, many furniture sets, and a lot of special villagers.
New Horizons: Better for Customization, Terraforming, Gameplay Improvements, and having more control of where buildings go.
